Alpine A110 GT4+: The Next Evolution in High-Performance GT4 Racing
Since 2018, Alpine has challenged the most prestigious manufacturers with the A110 GT4. Building on the production model’s inherent attributes—such as its compact design, lightweight, and ideal weight distribution—Signatech Automobiles swiftly created a formidable competitor. Their efforts paid off with a historic victory at the GT4 International Cup in Bahrain.
After these early triumphs, the Alpine A110 GT4 Evo arrived in 2022. Meticulous refinements to the gearbox, turbo, and engine block boosted performance, and the A-arrow brand claimed its first title in the 2023 French FFSA GT Championship, followed by victory in the GT4 European Series the following year.
In a GT4 class that has never been more competitive or demanding, Alpine now unveils the A110 GT4+. This significant evolution of the A110 GT4 Evo reflects the experience gained on the track since 2018 and in rallying—highlighted by the A110 Rallye GT+’s victory at the Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine last year.
Engineered for unrivalled ease of handling and operation, the A110 GT4+ provides exceptional performance potential, lower running costs, and improved reliability. Achieving these targets involved adding new features, including supercharging and cooling systems derived from the Rallye GT+ version. Technicians redesigned the gearbox spacer, while a carbon-fibre airbox and more extensive front radiator enhanced temperature regulation.
Other upgrades include a reworked exhaust and optimised anti-lag and traction control systems. A new atmospheric pressure adaptation function, managed by the P atmo sensor, enables seamless altitude adjustments without extra ballast.
Externally, the A110 GT4+ features subtle aerodynamic enhancements, including a carbon-fibre rear windscreen with vents and a tougher front splitter made of natural fibres to handle intense on-track battles.
In its most potent form, the A110 GT4+ has already demonstrated its potential by securing a class win in the final round of the 2024 Ultimate Endurance GT Cup. During a six-hour race at Circuit Paul Ricard, the trio of Jim Pla, Julien Gilbert, and Jean Mathieu Leandri dominated, showcasing the new version’s boosted performance and reliability.
With a new seven-year homologation, the A110 GT4+ qualifies for SRO Motorsports Group’s GT4 ecosystem and multiple Grand Touring championships. The A110 GT4+ is now available for €220,000 excluding VAT, while current Alpine A110 GT4 and Alpine A110 GT4 Evo owners can purchase an upgrade kit for €34,000 excluding VAT.
