Automobili Pininfarina Debuts Revolutionary Electric Hypercars in Japan, Expanding Asian Market Presence

Automobili Pininfarina, a leader in crafting the world's most exquisite and exclusive pure-electric hypercars, has unveiled the revolutionary Battista Cinquantacinque and the B95 hyper Barchetta in Japan for the first time. These launches significantly boost the company's footprint in Asia as it delivers on its promise of transforming 'Dream Cars. Made Real' for clients globally. In partnership with Tokyo-based luxury retail giant SKY GROUP, Automobili Pininfarina ensures a bespoke client experience, crafting each vehicle in Cambiano, Italy, as a distinct reflection of the owner’s style.

The company has introduced two groundbreaking vehicles to its Japanese clientele: the B95 hyper Barchetta, marking its debut as the first coach-built, pure-electric hyper-barchetta globally, and the Battista, Italy’s most potent and fastest street-legal car.

The Battista Cinquantacinque, drawing inspiration from the 1955 Lancia Florida styled by Carrozzeria Pininfarina, melds spectacular design with unmatched performance. It boasts a Blu Savoia Gloss exterior, a Bianco Sestriere Gloss roof, and elegant brushed-anodised accents. Inside, it features custom Mahagoni Poltrona Frau Heritage Leather upholstery. The model's name and livery, 'Cinquantacinque' meaning '55' in Italian, pay tribute to the iconic 1955 Lancia Florida.

This model showcases unique inscriptions that narrate its rich heritage, with the 'Cinquantacinque 55' signature adorning the passenger door plate and the underside of the active rear wing.

Each Battista is propelled by four independent electric motors powered by a robust 120 kWh lithium-ion battery. These motors produce 1,900hp and 2,340Nm of torque. This setup enables breathtaking acceleration from 0 to 100 kph in 1.86 seconds and 0 to 200 kph in 4.75 seconds, alongside a comfortable driving range of up to 476 km.

The B95, as the world's inaugural pure-electric hyper Barchetta, represents Automobili Pininfarina’s commitment to broadening its international reach by offering bespoke hypercars and experiences to an elite clientele. Its simple yet dramatic open-top design contrasts beautifully with sophisticated technical features, interpreting a classic racer with modern, electric performance.

Paolo Dellachà, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina, celebrates the company's Japanese market entry: "Our entry to the Japanese market is an exciting milestone for Automobili Pininfarina as we continue to expand our global footprint. Japan is renowned for its rich automotive culture and discerning clientele who appreciate artistry, performance, and innovation. We are confident this new audience will appreciate the Italian craftsmanship and engineering expertise that goes into making each and every Automobili Pininfarina vehicle a unique expression of its owner’s personality.”

In 2023, Automobili Pininfarina also introduced the innovative PURA Vision design concept. This pioneering vehicle lays the groundwork for future models with its PURA design philosophy, blending inspiration from iconic classics with futuristic elements, all hand-crafted by the Automobili Pininfarina Design team in Cambiano.
