At Bugatti’s historic headquarters in Molsheim and select Bugatti partners worldwide, the first Tourbillon customers have already started personalising their future hypersports cars through exclusive one-on-one configuration sessions. They now enjoy an unprecedented array of choices, including the new ‘Équipe Pur Sang’ option—a motorsport-inspired package that visually underscores the Tourbillon’s extraordinary performance and Bugatti’s illustrious racing heritage.
‘Équipe Pur Sang’ translates to ‘Thoroughbred Team’, reflecting the storied achievements of Bugatti’s historic racing division. This remarkable specification gives the Tourbillon an unmistakable sporting persona. A dedicated front splitter works seamlessly with a bespoke rear wing, with small endplates for enhanced aerodynamic efficiency. Towards the rear, carbon fibre engine cover inlays lead to a purpose-built 8-pipe exhaust system and a specialised diffuser, boosting downforce while lending the Tourbillon a more assertive stance.
New directional wheels reinforce the Tourbillon’s performance credentials and design language. Sized at 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, these wheels feature unique left- and right-specific constructions. Long, slender spokes reduce turbulence and increase airflow to the rear radiator by up to 8%, ensuring improved cooling and an even more dynamic appearance.
The Équipe Pur Sang theme continues with exquisite embroidery on the dashboard and seat headrests, displaying a distinct emblem that links this specification to Bugatti’s motorsport legacy. Black Poli interior trim and a Medium Carbon Fibre Interior Package create a purposeful yet luxurious cabin. The standard Performance Seat option, finished in Alcantara, offers enhanced lateral support for high-G cornering, delivering a balance of comfort and track-focused driving dynamics.
Customers begin their bespoke Tourbillon journey at the Château Saint Jean in Molsheim or Bugatti retail locations worldwide, guided by the brand’s expert team. Beyond the Équipe Pur Sang specification, buyers can select from 23 new exterior colours, 20 different leather options, 10 Alcantara variations, and seven carpet hues, among countless other personal touches. Even the instrument cluster, crafted by Swiss watchmakers with uncompromising precision, can be personalised through multiple configurations.
Whether owners choose the Équipe Pur Sang package or not, each Tourbillon marks a pivotal moment in automotive history. A newly developed 8.3-litre naturally aspirated V16 engine delivers 1,000 hp, while three electric motors provide an additional 800 hp. Despite this formidable powertrain, the Tourbillon weighs less than its predecessor, thanks to a T800 carbon composite chassis with an integrated battery structure and a crash-composite rear diffuser inspired by top-level motorsport.
Achieving 1,000 hp without turbocharging exemplifies engineering prowess, offering a purer, more immediate driving feel.
