CUPRA and Kiro Race Co Unite to Compete in Formula E's 2025 Season

CUPRA has embarked on a thrilling new chapter in Formula E by partnering with Kiro Race Co. The newly formed CUPRA KIRO team is set to challenge for the podium in the world's premier e-racing competition. This bold move highlights CUPRA's dedication to nurturing young talent through the leadership of drivers Dan Ticktum and David Beckmann. The season springs into action in Brazil on 7 December, with numerous races lined up throughout 2025.

Joining the ranks with the twice world championship-winning Porsche 99X Electric WCG3 signifies a pivotal evolution in CUPRA's racing strategy. CUPRA is set to contribute its technical expertise and a robust competitive spirit, enhancing the team's performance in pursuit of electrification.

"Aligning with Kiro Race Co perfectly positions CUPRA to compete at the highest level," said Xavi Serra, Global Head of Racing at CUPRA. "Our involvement in Formula E stems from our racing heritage and the platform's capacity to foster the development of electric road vehicles," he added.

Alex Hui, Team Principal of CUPRA KIRO, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome CUPRA to Kiro Race Co for the 2024/25 season and beyond. Our joint efforts mark a significant milestone in our team's history, and CUPRA's performance-driven ethos aligns seamlessly with our aspirations to make a historic impact in Formula E."

The Los Angeles-based Forest Road Company, which acquired Kiro Race Co from Season 11, also celebrates this partnership. "Bringing CUPRA onboard marks a phenomenal achievement for Kiro Race Co, especially at such a formative stage in our Formula E journey," commented Jeremy Tarica, Managing Director of The Forest Road Company. "Our multi-year collaboration goes beyond motorsport, driven by a shared ambition to lead innovative changes in our industries."

Led by Dan Ticktum and David Beckmann, the CUPRA KIRO team symbolises both the present and the future of racing. Both drivers demonstrated formidable speed during the official Formula E tests in Madrid, with Beckmann clocking one of the circuit's fastest laps.

This selection of promising drivers underscores CUPRA's commitment to fostering emerging talents, reflecting the brand's youthful spirit. The team will debut in São Paulo on 7 December, sporting a custom car livery tailored for the Brazilian race.

The season's official livery will be unveiled in Mexico City in January, ahead of the season's second race and the first E-Prix of 2025. Over the year, CUPRA's racing heritage will travel to iconic cities such as Miami, Berlin, Monaco, and London, showcasing their competitive prowess on a global stage.
