Donkervoort P24 RS: The Next-Generation Dutch Supercar Poised to Redefine Performance
The family-owned Dutch car manufacturer Donkervoort has announced the name of its forthcoming supercar: the Donkervoort P24 RS. Managing Director Denis Donkervoort revealed that this successor to the F22 is the result of pioneering engineering and design advancements.
Honouring a family-inspired naming convention, the P24 RS follows in the footsteps of the F22. That earlier model—named after Denis Donkervoort’s first child, Filippa, and her birth year (2022)—established a bold milestone for the brand. Now, the P24 RS continues that tradition, bearing the name of his second child, Phébe, who was born in 2024.
The P24 RS propels Donkervoort’s legacy and pays tribute to the iconic D8 270 RS. 2006, the D8 270 RS disrupted Porsche’s dominance at the Nürburgring by setting a pioneering production car lap record. This achievement positioned Donkervoort among the elite high-performance manufacturers worldwide. With its inherited pedigree and engineering clout, the P24 RS may be on course to make history again.
The F22 and the P24 RS are sister cars, each boasting its unique essence—yet both stay true to Donkervoort’s Living the Drive philosophy. “Both have been engineered with driver enjoyment and engagement at their core. Both are born from an obsession with lightweight construction—but the P24 RS will push the F22’s performance even further,” Denis Donkervoort said.
He added: “Records are waiting to be broken, and the P24 RS has the speed to do it. But it also has the potential to redefine what customer service and customisation mean.”
Naming new models after family members remains a long-standing Donkervoort tradition that gains special meaning as the brand nears its 50th anniversary. The S8A took its name from Denis’ sister, Amber, while the lightning-fast D10—once the holder of a world acceleration record—borrowed its moniker from Denis himself. Asked whether this tradition will continue, Donkervoort remains playfully non-committal.
The P24 RS will debut this year, but Donkervoort will not simply unveil it. Instead, the brand aims to immerse enthusiasts in a multi-chapter narrative, revealing the engineering, design and technological breakthroughs that define this new supercar and the passion that fuels its creation.
Through Donkervoort: Living the Drive, a series of chapters and episodes will offer a privileged look into the P24 RS’s development, spotlighting what makes this supercar exceptional. From advanced lightweight construction and evolving Ex-Core technology to the most significant leap yet—an all-new, high-performance engine—Donkervoort is set to introduce its most ambitious engineering project.
