Lotus Achieves Remarkable 1st Half 2023 Performance: Global Growth, Awards, and Expansion

In the hallowed halls of Lotus, the venerable British automotive legend, a symphony of accomplishments unfolds, painting a tapestry of sheer excellence across the canvas of the first half of 2023.

In this halcyon era, the heavens seem to applaud Lotus' prowess, as they've witnessed an awe-inspiring crescendo in achievements, reaching its zenith on the 30th day of June.

Behold their soaring order book, a global testament to the Eletre, a groundbreaking electric titan, and the Emira, a mid-engine marvel. A mesmerising 17,000 vehicles now grace their ledger, a testament to the allure of Lotus craftsmanship.

And in the heart of the United Kingdom, where innovation knows no bounds, the Lotus factory echoes with the birth cries of 2,200 Emira models, a surge akin to a comet's fiery ascent, marking a 381 per cent leap from the previous year. The Emira's order book, a treasure map of dreams, now reads like an epic tale, fully subscribed for the two years yet to dawn.

But the crown jewel, the Eletre, a lifestyle hyper-SUV born of the future, finds its home in Lotus' all-electric sanctum. In the mystical realm of China, the first notes of this symphony were played to eager audiences in March. Soon, like a grand orchestration, the strains of Eletre's power will grace the UK and Europe in the sweet embrace of summer.

Their reach extends to a great spider's web of 193 retail sanctuaries across the globe. In this half-year, 24 new temples of automotive worship were consecrated, a testament to Lotus' ever-expanding dominion.

In the distant east, Lotus embarks on a celestial journey, a strategic alliance with Kolon Mobility Group opening the gates to the grandeur of South Korea's luxury market. The stars themselves envy Lotus' international expansion, a constellation of destiny manifest.

A treasure chest of accolades adorns their mantle, nine jewels of recognition, including the coveted 'SUV of the Year’ bestowed upon the Eletre at the GQ Car Awards. The Emira, too, bathed in glory, claims the title of 'Best Performance Car' at the celebrated UK Car of the Year Awards.

And amidst this grand spectacle, the arrival of Mike Johnstone, a maestro of the automotive world with over 25 years of international acclaim, assumes the mantle of Chief Commercial Officer. With his baton in hand, he shall guide Lotus’ global business and product strategy, a conductor orchestrating the symphony of international expansion.

Feng Qingfeng, the visionary at the helm, casts his gaze upon this panorama of achievement and declares, “In 2018, we embarked on a journey of audacious ambition with our Vision80 strategy. We sought to transform our brand from a conventional entity to a purveyor of opulent all-electric mobility within a decade; we sought to transform our brand from a conventional entity to a purveyor of opulent all-electric mobility. Today, the fruits of our meticulous labour blossom before you, Lotus' evolution into an invincible force. We chart our course toward global acclaim by 2028.”

The future beckons, a realm of limitless potential. With the vigour of a phoenix reborn, Lotus promises intensified production and sales activities, with dreams of surpassing all prior records by year's end. The stage is set, the audience enraptured, as Lotus dances to the symphony of its destiny, an automotive legend in the making.
