Lotus Launches Eletre Carbon: Revolutionising Luxury Electric SUVs in North America

Lotus has launched its latest innovation, the Eletre Carbon, in the North American electric vehicle market. This ultra-luxury electric hyper-SUV is poised to revolutionise global standards for luxury electric vehicles (EVs).

Building on the robust success of its existing lineup, the Eletre Carbon emerges as Lotus' most dynamic and high-performing model yet. With a sharp focus on design and performance, it extensively incorporates carbon fibre to elevate both the vehicle's aesthetics and functionality.

The Eletre Carbon boasts a luxurious interior. Three new leather options—black, light grey, and dark brown—are supplied by Bridge of Weir, a leader in luxury leather. These premium, eco-friendly materials redefine luxury, comfort, and sustainability.

A standout aesthetic feature of the Eletre Carbon is its dynamic quilting pattern, which aligns perfectly with its sleek aerodynamic profile. Inspired by the principles of porosity, this design enhances the vehicle's visual allure and performance capabilities.

For enthusiasts seeking personalisation, the Eletre Carbon provides robust options like 10-piston carbon ceramic brakes and a new satin black paint finish. Starting at £229,900, this SUV caters to the refined tastes and requirements of the US and Canadian markets.

With orders now open and deliveries expected from the first quarter of 2025, anticipation is mounting. Lotus is also set to expand its bespoke services through the Lotus Chapman Bespoke programme, enabling extensive vehicle customisation for North American customers.

The Eletre Carbon features advanced technological integrations, including up to six driving modes, rear-wheel steering, and a comprehensive suite of active controls for exceptional dynamic handling. It offers rapid acceleration, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 2.95 seconds, with top speeds of up to 265 km/h.

Its impressive hyper-fast charging capabilities provide up to 280 miles of range in just 18 minutes. The vehicle also includes luxurious comfort features such as five massage modes, ambient lighting, and an intelligent panoramic glass roof that can switch from opaque to clear.

Equipped with cutting-edge technology, including two NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips, 34 sensors, and 12 cameras, the Eletre Carbon is set for continual upgrades to enhance its performance, safety, and convenience.

Highlighting the Eletre Carbon's infotainment offerings is a 15.1-inch OLED touchscreen and an innovative KEF audio system designed to provide all passengers with a seamless and immersive audio experience.

Available in eight colours, including the exclusive Stardust black with a satin finish, the Eletre Carbon marks a significant advancement for Lotus and the luxury electric vehicle industry. With its combination of performance, luxury, and state-of-the-art technology, the Eletre Carbon is set to profoundly impact automotive design and engineering.
