MOKE International Opens New Leamington Spa Facility to Meet Soaring Demand for British Electric MOKE
MOKE International, the renowned British car manufacturer, has officially opened its new, wholly owned production facility in Leamington Spa, marking a significant milestone in its 60th year. This modern factory boosts manufacturing efficiency enhances product quality and strengthens MOKE’s capacity to meet rising global demand for its Electric MOKE. With a production target of more than 500 units this year for markets including the USA and the Mediterranean, MOKE continues to bolster the UK economy as a net exporter.
Earlier this month, MOKE International hosted an exclusive reveal event. Retail partners from Europe, the Middle East, and the USA joined Labour MP for Warwick and Leamington, Maas and Western, Chair of the APPG on Electric Vehicles, to celebrate British engineering and MOKE’s growing global footprint.
The new Leamington Spa facility underlines MOKE’s commitment to British engineering and innovation within the EV sector. The expansion has created dozens of new clean-tech jobs and tripled the workforce, demonstrating the company’s dedication to growth and sustainability.
At the launch, MOKE revealed a selection of fresh colourways for its bodywork, Bimini, and wheels, giving customers an expanded range of style options. These additions reinforce MOKE’s focus on sustainability, style, and innovation.

This significant investment in British manufacturing reflects MOKE’s commitment to nurturing talent. The company’s expansion has created numerous roles across production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and after-sales support. MOKE now prioritises apprenticeships and graduate schemes to develop home-grown skills, support the UK’s EV workforce, and power the national economy.
The Leamington Spa facility is strategic in MOKE International’s long-term vision. The Electric MOKE is now available in the USA, Mexico, France, Spain, the Balearic Islands, Italy, and Greece through substantial investments in safety, homologation, and regional compliance. Achieving M1 Small Series Approval, EPA Certification, and CARB approval is the first EV from a low-volume manufacturer to attain these distinctions, enabling MOKE to sell in all 50 US states.
Sustainability remains at the heart of MOKE International’s mission, with approximately 70 per cent of the Electric MOKE’s components sourced within Europe. As one of the few independently owned car manufacturers to achieve this, MOKE further consolidates its position as a leader in British craftsmanship. The company has also been invited to join Walpole, the prestigious governing body for the UK’s luxury goods sector, underscoring its commitment to exceptional quality and best-of-British heritage.
