Nissan Enhances Business Efficiency in AMIEO with Anaplan's AI and ML Technologies

Nissan has partnered strategically with Anaplan, a leading provider of scenario planning and analysis platforms, to harness artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies. This collaboration aims to improve business optimisation throughout the AMIEO region, which includes Africa, the Middle East, India, Europe, and Oceania.

The initial phase of this partnership will see the complete digitalisation of Nissan’s car flow process by June 2025, covering everything from vehicle production forecasting to dealer stock management and customer sales. This transformation is designed to improve data accuracy and streamline business operations, enabling Nissan AMIEO to concentrate on utilising data to effectively meet consumer and market demands.

The forthcoming stage will utilise advanced AI and ML technologies to keep Nissan at the forefront of consumer demand shifts, variable costs, and supply chain disruptions. This will facilitate quicker production and resource allocation decisions across the region. The partnership also aims to bolster Nissan's ability to analyse long-term market trends, predict customer demands, guide design decisions, and optimise inventory management.

“This partnership represents a significant milestone in Nissan’s digitalisation efforts and aligns with our mid-term strategic plan, The Arc,” states Leon Dorssers, SVP of Region Marketing & Sales at Nissan AMIEO.

“Driven by our commitment to customer-centric innovation, this technology will deepen our insights into customer preferences and evolving trends, allowing us to address their needs more promptly,” Dorssers adds. “We are confident it will boost Nissan’s competitiveness in a volatile market while supporting our global sales and profitability goals.”

Anaplan enables businesses to pinpoint operational challenges and opportunities, providing trusted, connected, and optimised forecasts for demand, production, and inventory. The platform's integration across Nissan’s sales and marketing, supply chain management, manufacturing, logistics, and finance functions will ensure the region remains agile and responsive to current and future customer needs.

“We are excited to support Nissan’s accelerated digitalisation journey, identifying clear strategies for the short and mid-term,” comments Dayne Turbitt, Managing Director, EMEA, at Anaplan. "Committed to delivering timely and reliable data-driven insights, Anaplan’s platform will enhance Nissan's ability to stay ahead of market trends and transform business operations across the AMIEO region.”
