Reviving Icons: Singer Transforms Porsche 911s into Custom Masterpieces
Singer vividly showcased its collaborative spirit with owners through a Family Portrait, presenting four Porsche 911s, each meticulously crafted to mirror the unique styles of coupe, slantnose coupe, targa, and cabriolet models.
Rob Dickinson, Founder and Executive Chairman of Singer, enthusiastically stated, "Fifty years ago, the 911 Turbo debuted. It quickly became a cultural icon, dominating the autobahn and the racetrack. It's been embraced by drivers and enthusiasts globally. We are thrilled to work with owners to honour this quintessential road and track legend and to celebrate the turbocharged 911's milestone anniversary."
The restoration journey for each Porsche 911 begins with the owner's vision. Singer tailors its services to meet the specific customisation each owner envisions for their vehicle, built on the Type 964 chassis. The exclusive slantnose coupe restorations were quickly secured, with all 25 slots now filled.
The engines in these restored vehicles are enhanced versions of the original Mezger flat-six, now equipped with twin turbochargers featuring variable turbine geometry and air-water intercooling, pushing power up to 510HP. This formidable power is channelled to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, bolstered by traction control and electronic stability control systems developed in partnership with Bosch and shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. Owners can tailor their cars' performance towards sporty or grand touring-focused driving, according to their preferences.
