Theon Design Unveils Second Bespoke Porsche 911 (964): GBR002

Theon Design reveals its latest custom-built Porsche 911 (964), the second for a UK client. Dressed in the timeless Oak Green Metallic with sleek 'ghost' stripes, satin chrome accents, and matching 18" Fuchs-style wheels, this masterpiece embodies Theon's tribute to Porsche's legacy. Each modification enhances GBR002's allure while preserving Porsche's essence.

Despite its classic appearance, GBR002 boasts contemporary performance. A roaring 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine delivers an impressive 406bhp, exceeding 100bhp per litre. This results in a dynamic driving experience akin to modern sports cars while retaining the iconic air-cooled 911 charm.

Inside, GBR002 features Theon Design's premium aluminium interior upgrade, seamlessly blending classic Porsche aesthetics with modern functionalities. From meticulously crafted billet aluminium switchgear to Muslin leather seats with woven accents, every detail exudes sophistication. Additionally, high-end Bluetooth-enabled stereo and wireless phone charging enhance connectivity and convenience.

GBR002 embodies Theon Design's commitment to preserving Porsche's legacy while pushing boundaries. Striking a balance between classic design and modern engineering, each bespoke creation delivers a unique driving experience. Handcrafted with unparalleled attention to detail, these 911s are as exhilarating to drive as they are visually stunning.

Adam Hawley, Co-Founder of Theon Design, explains, "We aimed to enhance every aspect of the car while staying true to Porsche's philosophy. GBR002 represents the pinnacle of our craftsmanship, offering a blend of timeless aesthetics and cutting-edge performance."

GBR002 originates from a 1992 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 2, meticulously restored and reinforced to accommodate its bespoke carbon body. Each panel ensures a perfect fit through advanced scanning and 3D design, enhancing structural integrity and weight reduction. With carbon fibre components adding stiffness and shedding over 200kg, GBR002 weighs just 1169 kg, offering unparalleled agility and performance.

The heart of GBR002 lies in its potent 4.0-litre air-cooled engine, delivering an exhilarating 406bhp with a broad torque range. Enhanced with modern technologies and bespoke components, including a new ignition system and independent throttle bodies, it offers uncompromising power and responsiveness. Paired with a Hewland six-speed gearbox and Wavetrac® Torsen limited-slip differential, GBR002 delivers unparalleled performance and control.

GBR002's driving dynamics are further enhanced by a sophisticated TracTive Active Controlled Electronics (ACE) damping system. Calibrated through extensive testing, this system ensures exceptional performance and traction across diverse driving conditions, from highways to winding roads.

Inside, GBR002 boasts a meticulously crafted interior tailored for elegance and practicality. Recaro CS seats, clad in Muslin leather with Alcantara & leather panels, offer comfort and support during spirited drives. The Nardi "deep dish" steering wheel provides a tactile connection to the road, while a modern stereo system with DAB radio and phone connectivity ensures entertainment on the go.

Adam Hawley concludes, "GBR002 represents the epitome of our craftsmanship, blending modern technology with traditional craftsmanship to redefine the air-cooled 911 experience. It's a testament to our passion for delivering unparalleled automotive excellence."

Theon Design commissions start at £380,000, offering a bespoke experience tailored to each client's desires. With an 18-month build time, each creation is a labour of love, delivering a driving experience unlike any other. The price excludes the donor car, shipping, and local taxes.
