Unveiling the Hyundai N x TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Festival: A Motorsport Spectacle at Everland Speedway
Today, in partnership with Toyota Motor Corporation, Hyundai Motor Company announced their collaboration to host the ‘Hyundai N x TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Festival’.
Scheduled for October 27, 2024, at Everland Speedway in Yong-in, South Korea, this event marks the first collaboration between Hyundai N and TOYOTA GAZOO Racing in Korea. It aims to highlight high-performance models and racing cars from both companies, offering Korean fans unprecedented access to the exhilarating world of motorsport.
Hyundai Motor Company and Toyota Motor Corporation will present a 'Track Day' event, allowing customers to immerse themselves in a high-performance culture and witness Hyundai N and Toyota GR vehicles in action.
The event's highlight will feature an exciting demo drive, mirroring a real rally, with racing cars and professional drivers from each company’s World Rally Team. Customers will have the opportunity to experience the prowess of these competition vehicles firsthand through a unique test ride. This special collaboration seeks to propel Korean motorsport culture to new heights.
Euisun Chung, Executive Chair of Hyundai Motor Group, and Akio Toyoda, Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, who also participates in driver activities as ‘Morizo’, will attend this special event.
Hyundai N will display rally cars from its successful World Rally Championship (WRC) program, including the i20 N Rally 1 Hybrid and i20 N Rally 2, piloted by Hyundai Motorsport WRC drivers Thierry Neuville, Dani Sordo, and Andreas Mikkelsen. Hyundai’s TCR drivers Norbert Michelisz and Mikel Azcona will showcase Hyundai N’s production car lineup, including the IONIQ 5 N and Elantra N models.
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing will feature its GR YARIS Rally 1 Hybrid, GR Yaris Rally 2, GR Supra, and GR86, among other rally cars and high-performance models. Toyota WRC driver Takamoto Katsuta, Jari-Matti Latvala, the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team principal, and nine-time Japan Rally Champion Norihiko Katsuta will join as Toyota drivers.
The festival will also spotlight future-oriented prototypes, such as Hyundai Motor’s IONIQ 5 N Drift Spec and hydrogen-powered N Vision 74, alongside Toyota's hydrogen combustion engine AE86 H2 Concept and the liquid hydrogen-powered GR Corolla.

Both brands will unite to celebrate the spirit of competition at Everland Speedway in Yong-in.

For over 20 years, Hyundai Motor has sponsored and organised various competitions to foster the development of motorsport in Korea, including the Hyundai Click Speed Festival (2003-2010), the Korea Speed Festival (2011-2018), and the Hyundai N Festival (2019-present).
