Unveiling the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years: A Legacy of Speed and Elegance

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo, Porsche is unveiling an exclusive anniversary model of this iconic sports car. The 911 Turbo 50 Years merges superior performance and premium materials with unique design elements. The interior and exterior pay homage to historic 911 Turbo models, enriched with timeless and contemporary styling elements. The optional Heritage Design Package further enhances the aesthetic appeal of this anniversary edition. Porsche has capped the production of the 911 Turbo 50 Years, based on the last-generation 911 Turbo S, at 1,974 units to honour the year the first 911 Turbo debuted.

When Porsche introduced the Type 930 911 Turbo in 1974, it redefined the limits of automotive engineering. This model incorporated cutting-edge turbo technology from the 917/10 and 917/30 race cars into a production sports car, delivering unparalleled performance matched with unique design and everyday usability. The 911 Turbo 50th anniversary model, based on the 911 Turbo S launched in 2019, celebrates and reinterprets this rich heritage. Standard side vinyl graphics nod to the historic livery of the Porsche 911 RSR Turbo unveiled at the 1973 Frankfurt Motor Show, a precursor to the 911 Turbo. It introduces the new Porsche Turbo-exclusive colour, Turbonite, marking its debut on the 911. This colour also accents the inlays on the rear engine cover, the fuel tank cap, and the Porsche crest, contrasting with the Turbo 50 model logo. Anthracite Grey is used on the rear wing blade, rear apron, mirror bases, and air intake trims. A badge featuring a turbocharger icon and the years 1974–2024 adorns the rear engine cover grille. When the door opens, an LED door projector casts the image of a turbocharger onto the ground beside the car. The 911 Turbo 50 Years includes 911 Turbo S Exclusive Design wheels in Turbonite as standard.

The interior of the 911 Turbo 50 Years also echoes the Turbo lineage. As a special tribute to the early Porsche 911 Turbo models, the renowned McKenzie tartan adorns the seat covers and interior door panels' centre panels. Additional Turbonite accents set this car apart from the regular 911 Turbo S production model. These include seat belts, controls, decorative stitching, trim strips with black leather inlays, and the Porsche crest on the GT sports steering wheel. An illuminated Turbo 50 logo adorns the door kick plates, finished in black brushed aluminium, and is embroidered into the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus headrests. A Turbo 50 logo is also placed on the back of the left rear seat. An anniversary plaque in aluminium above the glove compartment displays both the Turbo 50 logo and the individual limited-edition number of the sports car. The A-pillar, sun visors, and roof lining are upholstered in perforated Race-Tex, and an analogue Porsche Design Subsecond clock with a unique Turbo 50 design graces the dashboard.
