Team Lotus Returns: Reviving 75 Years of Legendary Lotus Motorsport

Lotus has always championed drivers who crave the thrill of performance on the road and the track. With the return of Team Lotus, we reaffirm our dedication to global motorsport competition and culture.

Building on over 75 years of unparalleled racing knowledge, spirit, and passion, Lotus has consolidated its motorsport activities into one unified ‘Team Lotus’. This global initiative combines factory-supported programmes, partner racing teams, Lotus Cup championships, driver development, and enthusiasts. By focusing on unity, we fuel our passion for performance, pursue shared ambitions, and support racing communities and drivers worldwide.

Gavan Kershaw, Director and Head of Motorsports at Lotus Cars, explains: “Motorsport has been at the heart of Lotus from the beginning. Hundreds of Lotus cars compete in classic, national, and international events every weekend, and Team Lotus unites that passion across every level. Whether in GT, endurance, or grassroots competitions, we stand by teams and drivers who share our love for racing.”

Team Lotus begins its comeback by working with an expanding roster of partner teams and customers. In 2025, the Emira GT4 will appear at multiple global events, including Mahiki Racing in the British GT4, Pegasus Racing in the SRO GT Cup in Shanghai, PB Racing in the Italian Championship, and Euro Series GT4.

While celebrating Lotus’ iconic history and success in Formula 1 during the sport’s 75th anniversary, Team Lotus is also focused on reinforcing our motorsport foundations and reigniting our passion for competition.

Team Lotus has created a distinctive race livery for 2025 as part of our renewed identity. This design merges the boldness of our signature Lotus yellow with inspiration from our most iconic past liveries, presenting the forward-thinking spirit of Team Lotus today.
