Audi Unleashes RS 4 Avant 25th Anniversary Edition: A Fusion of Heritage and High-Octane Performance

Audi is not just celebrating the 25th anniversary of the RS 4 Avant but also offering a unique opportunity to our esteemed audience. We are launching a groundbreaking, one-of-a-kind model, the Audi RS 4 Avant 25th Anniversary Edition. This pinnacle of performance showcases enhanced driving dynamics and exclusive interior and exterior designs and is available in the iconic Imola Yellow finish. Simultaneously, we are introducing the new RS 5 Sportback Performance Edition, featuring upgraded powertrain enhancements.

In the 1990s, Audi pioneered the performance estate concept with the Audi Avant RS2 and Audi S6 plus. The debut RS model from Quattro GmbH (now Audi Sport GmbH), the 1999 B5-generation RS4* Avant, revolutionized the market with its widened body and a 2.7-litre biturbo six-cylinder engine developed with Cosworth, delivering a formidable 380PS. In 2001, the RS4 Sport further raised the bar with its lowered suspension, bucket seats, sports exhaust, and suede steering wheel, elements the RS 4 Avant edition 25 years now celebrates as the sportiest iteration of the current B9 series. This is a journey we are proud to share with our loyal audience.

The latest RS 4 Avant edition 25 years is not just a celebration of our heritage but a testament to our commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance. It boasts a 2.9-litre V6 biturbo engine with a staggering 470PS and 600Nm of torque, achieving 0-62 mph in just 3.7 seconds—0.4 seconds quicker than its predecessor, with a top speed of 186 mph. It features RS ceramic brakes, an RS sports exhaust system, and matt black tailpipes, ensuring unmatched performance and an exhilarating soundtrack.

This anniversary model comes equipped with the RS sports suspension pro, offering a manually adjustable coilover system for a perfect balance of dynamics and comfort. The system lowers the ride height by up to 20mm. It includes the quattro sport differential for enhanced agility and a rearward bias in dynamic driving mode, with transmission upgrades for swifter shifting.

Exclusively, the RS 4 Avant edition 25 years increases front axle negative camber and features stiffer control arms for superior cornering speeds. Its rear axle boasts a fixed subframe and an enhanced Torsen differential for precise feedback and peak performance.

This model includes Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, designed for road and track, on 20-inch alloy wheels in matt palladium. An additional Pirelli sensorised P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tyres, and the Pirelli Track Adrenaline system provide real-time data for optimal racetrack performance.

Available in Nardo Grey, Mythos Black, and the RS4 Sport’s original Imola Yellow, this model includes numerous exclusive design elements like glossy black trims, black inlays in the rear lights, and darkened Matrix LED headlights. The interior features yellow decorative stitching reminiscent of the 2001 RS4 Sport and unique details like RS 4 edition 25-year engraved windows and a sequentially numbered centre console.

The Audi RS 5 Sportback Performance Edition also enjoys a boost. It has the same engine specifications as the RS 4, progressive steering, and an enhanced Torsen differential, and it is limited to just ten units in the UK.

This blend of historic homage and modern innovation marks the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years and RS 5 Sportback Performance Edition as quintessential buys for car enthusiasts looking for an exclusive, thrilling driving experience.
