BYD and YANGWANG Set to Electrify Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024 with Innovative New Energy Vehicles
BYD, the global leader in new energy vehicles, proudly partners with the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed, scheduled for 11-14 July 2024. This exciting collaboration will feature a shared stand where visitors can immerse themselves in the latest breakthrough technologies from BYD and its luxury sub-brand, YANGWANG.
BYD will unveil its latest innovation, the BYD SEAL U DM-i, a plug-in hybrid five-seater SUV, marking its European debut with BYD’s advanced Super DM (Dual Mode) Technology. This D-segment family SUV combines spaciousness, safety, and comfort with cutting-edge intelligent PHEV technology that emphasises electric power for enhanced energy efficiency and low fuel consumption. The BYD SEAL U DM-i is set to make its UK premiere this Autumn, offering eco-conscious drivers the benefits of electric mobility perfect for long journeys. Additionally, BYD will display its popular models, including the BYD ATTO 3, BYD DOLPHIN, and BYD SEAL, showcasing diverse, sustainable and innovative vehicles.
YANGWANG will dramatically unveil its new robust off-roader, the YANGWANG U8, and the stunning high-performance supercar, the YANGWANG U9, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. These vehicles epitomise luxury and performance, showcasing YANGWANG's dedication to automotive excellence. The YANGWANG U8, equipped with the latest e⁴ Platform and DiSus-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control System, offers exceptional off-road capabilities and safety features like the Vehicle Origin Turn (VOT) and emergency flotation. The hybrid U8 boasts 1,200 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds.
The pure-electric YANGWANG U9 supercar, with a staggering 1,300 horsepower and a peak torque of 1680 N·m, accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in an astonishing 2.36 seconds. It features the e⁴ Platform and DiSus-X Intelligent Active Body Control System, delivering unmatched safety, performance, and driving precision.
Moreover, BYD introduces the DENZA D9, a premium all-electric MPV offering unmatched comfort and advanced features. With a 7-seat capacity and making its UK debut, the DENZA D9 adds a new dimension to BYD’s offerings at the stand. In 2023, the DENZA D9 became China’s top-selling MPV, with over 119,000 units sold.
