Hennessey SUPER VENOM Mustang: The Ultimate Evolution of Muscle Car Innovation

Hennessey, the hypercar manufacturer based in Texas, has unveiled its latest creation, the SUPER VENOM Mustang, which combines extensive performance, aerodynamic, and styling enhancements to produce the ultimate Hennessey Mustang.

The firm has increased the power of the factory 5.0L V8 engine by 70%, elevating its output from 500 bhp to 850 bhp, and enhanced the torque by 55% to 650 lb-ft at 4,900 rpm. The SUPER VENOM also features a new bespoke 'VenomAero' carbon fibre performance kit that boosts handling and cooling, making Hennessey’s Mustang the most formidable high-performance muscle car in the world.

John Hennessey, the company's Founder and CEO, commented, "Throughout our history, we have reserved our ‘Venom’ trademark for our most powerful cars: Venom Vipers, Venom GT, and most recently the Venom F5. We are excited to launch our SUPER VENOM Mustang, which offers supercar-level performance and is now available to order directly from Ford dealerships, complete with a full warranty. Moreover, we celebrate our founding in 1991 by offering just 91 units, each with a unique '91 Icon' livery."

Performance enhancements include a high-flow air induction system, a high-performance supercharger, upgraded fuel injectors and a fuel pump, and Hennessey’s tailored engine management system, which boosts the Coyote 5.0-litre V8 engine’s power to 850 bhp. The in-house designed and developed, fully carbon fibre 'VenomAero' kit comprises a more aggressive front splitter, a functional front hood vent, side skirts, functional front fender louvres, a rear deck lid with an integrated duck bill, and a tall, fixed rear track wing.

The SUPER VENOM Dark Horse can be ordered directly from authorised Ford dealers and Hennessey. It costs £163,950, while the SUPER VENOM GT starts at £149,950. The entire factory warranty and a three-year / 36,000-mile Hennessey limited warranty for complete peace of mind back both configurations.

Brian Jones, Hennessey’s VP of Engineering, stated, “The Hennessey VenomAero track pack enhancements deliver superior handling and grip, especially when driving the SUPER VENOM Mustang hard on roads or tracks. We've also achieved improved cooling and added a suite of aerodynamic features to ensure our version of the Mustang delivers top-tier performance.”

The standard Ford Dark Horse outputs 500 bhp and achieves 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. Hennessey’s enhanced SUPER VENOM Mustang reaches the same speed in just 3.2 seconds. The standard Dark Horse also covers the ¼ mile in 12 seconds at 118.4 mph, whereas the auto SUPER VENOM Mustang completes it in 10.9 seconds at 133 mph.

Customers ordering the complete package directly from an authorised Ford dealer or Hennessey can select from three bespoke liveries—available in black, silver, and red—to complement the factory paint colour. The SUPER VENOM's ‘91 Icon Livery’ – a tribute to the founding year of Hennessey Performance—adds visual distinctiveness. It is further enhanced by 20-inch lightweight performance wheels, Hennessey and SUPER VENOM badging, and the Hennessey signature logo subtly incorporated into the rear wing.

Nathan Malinick, Hennessey’s Director of Design, noted, “We endeavoured to celebrate the esteemed Mustang lineage with the design of our SUPER VENOM, incorporating a unique interior and track-focused enhancements to recognise the iconic muscle car’s sporting heritage alongside Hennessey Performance’s reputation.”

Hennessey’s in-house design team has also transformed the interior, offering bespoke Hennessey leather and Alcantara seats in custom blue or black styles. Compatible with standard comfort or Recaro sports seats, the unique Hennessey designs also feature an embossed Hennessey signature logo. Additionally, the team has retrimmed the centre console, and the dash includes a tailor-made plaque detailing each SUPER VENOM Mustang’s serial number.

The SUPER VENOM Mustang package is available on the GT coupe and Dark Horse platforms in either 10-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions. Both variants come with the Ford factory and Hennessey's comprehensive three-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty. Production of the new model is already underway at Hennessey’s headquarters in Sealy, Texas. Interested parties can learn more and place orders for global delivery through selected Ford retailers or directly at HennesseyPerformance.com.
