Discover Bentley’s New 680 PS High-Performance Hybrid Range: Luxury, Power, and Efficiency
Bentley has expanded its Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur line-up by introducing a second V8 plug-in hybrid model—the new 680 PS High Performance Hybrid. This advanced powertrain is available across all body styles in both new core and Azure variants, with the latter designed to enhance comfort and well-being. With the 782 PS Ultra Performance Hybrid launched in 2024 for Speed or Mulliner models, Bentley’s two-door and four-door grand tourers are now exclusively powered by electrified V8 engines.
The latest Continental GT and Azure models usher in Bentley’s cutting-edge High-Performance Hybrid system, which fuses a state-of-the-art 4.0-litre V8 engine with a potent electric motor to achieve 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque. Although the Ultra Performance Hybrid remains Bentley’s most extreme powerplant, the new High-Performance Hybrid delivers more power, torque, and overall performance than the previous-generation W12 Speed engine—while also enabling up to 50 miles (80 km) of pure electric driving.
Across its nine different performance-focused daily supercars, Bentley offers a blend of potent power, dynamic handling, refined craftsmanship, and exquisite design. These distinctive models now include the new fourth-generation Continental GT and GT Convertible core variants, which retain iconic design elements first introduced in 2003, such as Bentley’s signature matrix grille with a gloss black finish, chrome surround, and centre bar. Gloss black and matt black details adorn the bumpers and diffusers, while the striking ‘Harmony’ headlamps feature a bespoke welcome animation inspired by cut crystal. At the rear, bright chrome tailpipe finishers contrast with the gloss black diffuser, and red-lensed taillights also include the Harmony animation.
Inside, the hand-crafted straight-fluted seats underscore Crewe’s renowned craftsmanship. Customers may opt for bright or dark chrome for switchgear, air vents, organ stops, and door handles. ‘Handcrafted in Crewe, England’ is inscribed on the treadplates. The V8 High-Performance Hybrid produces a combined 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque, enabling the Continental GT to achieve 0–60 mph in just 3.5 seconds (0–100 km/h in 3.7 secs). The GT Convertible takes only 3.8 seconds (0–100 km/h in 3.9 secs). Pure electric ranges stand at 53 miles (85 km) for the GT and 51 miles (82 km) for the Convertible, with CO₂ emissions as low as 29 g/km and 31 g/km, respectively.
Bentley’s Active Chassis technology—encompassing Dynamic Ride, Rear Wheel Steering, and an eLSD—ensures refined, assured, and progressive performance in diverse road conditions. Drivers can select from Comfort, Bentley, and Sport modes, tailoring the driving experience to individual preferences.
In the new Azure variants, Bentley strongly emphasises elegance, opulence, and occupant well-being. A gloss black matrix grille with chrome surround and vertical vanes sets the tone, complementing a gloss black front splitter and bright bumper grilles. A new 22-inch silver and bright machined Azure wheel design and Azure badging on the front wing complete the exterior. Inside, luxurious 3D Harmony diamond quilting on seats and door panels pairs with embroidered Azure headrests, while Wellness seating and open-pore crown cut walnut veneer enrich the cabin ambience. Standard features include Touring, Comfort, and Lighting Specification packages, a panoramic sunroof on the Continental GT Azure or a neck warmer on the Convertible Azure for refined open-top motoring.
The new Flying Spur adopts the same High-Performance Hybrid powertrain and Bentley Active Chassis, placing it just behind the Flying Spur Speed in outright capability. With 0–60 mph in 3.8 seconds (0–100 km/h in 3.9 secs), it combines exhilarating performance with a supple ride and generous interior space for five occupants. A gloss black matrix grille, matt black lower bumper grilles, and distinctive oval tailpipe finishers highlight the exterior, while straight-fluted seats with embroidered Bentley emblems and bright chrome switchgear grace the cabin. Alternatively, customers can opt for an available dark chrome interior specification.
The Flying Spur Azure adopts a gloss black matrix grille with chrome surround and 11 vertical vanes, Azure wing badging, bright chrome lower grilles, and the new 22-inch Azure wheel in silver and bright machined metal. Like the Continental Azure models, it focuses on reducing stress and promoting well-being, with wellness seating that includes heating, ventilation, and massage. Additional highlights include mood lighting, Harmony quilting, Azure embroidered headrests, and open-pore crown cut walnut finishes, along with the Touring, Comfort, and Mood Lighting specification packages.
With the introduction of these new High-Performance Hybrid variants alongside the acclaimed Speed models, Bentley clients can now select a Continental GT, GT Convertible, or Flying Spur that best reflects their tastes and driving priorities. This is merely the beginning of the personalisation journey, as an extensive palette of paint finishes, veneers, trims, interior upholstery, and Mulliner options ensures each Bentley can be tailored to reflect its owner’s unique style. The New Continental GT is now available to order from £202,400 (UK), €210,924 (Europe pre-tax), or $265,900 (USA MSRP).
