Discover the Exclusive Ferrari Roma Spider Tailor Made at the Enzo Ferrari Museum
Ferrari unveils a unique version of the Roma Spider, crafted by the Tailor Made department, now showcased at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena. This exhibit is part of the 'Ferrari One of a Kind' exhibition, celebrating the exclusive personalisation world of the Maranello-based manufacturer.
This specific Roma Spider aims to showcase advanced production techniques using unique, refined materials. Notably, it features hand-stitched seat fabrics, incorporating leather from the interior and threads made from recycled tyres.
Ferrari has introduced laser engraving on aluminium body components for the front wing shield and offers the option to customise the bonnet with a compass rose and Maranello's geographical coordinates. The twin-turbo V8 engine incorporates aluminium recycled during the production phase at the Ferrari foundry, minimising waste.
Other remarkable features include chrome-free Nappa leather and controlled-origin wood on the tonneau cover and rear floor. The centre console uses sand recycled from casts in the Maranello foundry.
Collaborating with Montblanc, a special edition of the celebrated Meisterstück was produced for this occasion. The iconic pen matches the Oro Mida colour the Maranello Styling Centre chose for the Ferrari Roma Spider Tailor Made. It features a hand-crafted Au750 solid gold nib with platinum coating and a unique compass motif, with the cap and platinum-coated sections.
The concept of journeying is central to the project. The writing instrument is accompanied by a logbook covered in reused Rosso Bologna and Pelle Metalizzata Oro Mida leather from the car's interior. The cover also displays Maranello's coordinates, echoing the compass rose engraved on the bonnet, symbolising the connection between the writing instrument and the car.
This Ferrari Roma Spider represents an unmatched opportunity for research and development in material and processing innovations, enhancing the personalisation options available through the tailor-made department. The car is part of the 'One of a Kind' exhibition at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, which immerses visitors in Ferrari's personalisation programmes. The exhibition, featuring an interactive wall, allows visitors to pto experience materials, fabrics, colours, and physically various customisation options provided by the Ferrari Styling Centre. The display, enriched with the distinctive materials selected for the Ferrari Roma Spider Tailor Made, will continue until February 2025.
