Discover the Exquisite Batur Convertible: Bentley Motors Launches a New Era of Luxury and Power with Its Latest Coachbuilt Creation

Bentley Motors proudly unveils the Batur Convertible, the third modern-era coachbuilt marvel from Mulliner, Bentley's esteemed bespoke division and the world's oldest coachbuilder. Following the artfully crafted Bacalar barchetta and Batur coupe, the Batur Convertible exemplifies Mulliner's commitment to crafting uniquely personalised automobiles for each of its distinguished clients.

The Batur Convertible is a testament to Bentley's design vision, initially introduced by its coupe version, and sets the stage for future Bentley designs. This model is equipped with Bentley's most robust W12 engine—a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged powerhouse producing 750 PS. This summer marks the end of production for this iconic engine, making the Batur Convertible one of the final models to harness this legendary powertrain. The convertible's roof can be transformed from a luxurious coupe to an open-top Grand Tourer in just 19 seconds, even while moving at speeds up to 30 mph, ensuring a thrilling driving experience.

The Batur Convertible infuses classic and modern aesthetics, drawing from a rich heritage of open-cockpit vehicles. Its design features a unique ''wraparound'' cockpit that accentuates the two-seater configuration, while an innovative ''airbridge'' and tapered cowls enhance aesthetics and provide a semi-enclosed luggage area. This is a testament to Mulliner's commitment to crafting uniquely personalised automobiles for each of its distinguished clients.

The convertible roof transforms the car from a luxurious coupe to an open-top Grand Tourer in just 19 seconds, even at speeds up to 30 mph. This feature, combined with superior insulation and acoustic treatments, ensures a serene driving experience.

Mulliner's design team collaborates closely with customers using a specialised visualiser tool, offering limitless customisation options from the Mulliner palette to unique materials and bespoke paint choices, including hand-painted graphics. Options extend to the exterior brightware, available in various finishes, and a vibrant ombre effect for the front grille.

Inside, the cabin offers exclusive personalisation options like 3D-printed rose gold accents, highlighting key touchpoints such as the Bentley Drive Mode Selector. These elements are crafted in Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter, blending cutting-edge manufacturing with traditional craftsmanship.

Exclusivity is the hallmark of the Batur Convertible, with only 16 units being meticulously crafted in Bentley's carbon-neutral facility in Crewe, England. The formidable W12 engine powers these rare collector's items, enhanced with a revised intake and upgraded turbochargers, pushing performance to 750 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. This is complemented by an eight-speed double-clutch transmission and a titanium sports exhaust, delivering an immersive auditory experience.

From the engineering development of Batur Convertible Car #0, painted in bespoke Vermillion Gloss and Satin Duo tone, to its titanium-trimmed 22" wheels, each model is a testament to Bentley's legacy of luxury and innovation.
