Discover the New Hispano Suiza Design & Innovation Centre at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
Hispano Suiza has launched the 'Hispano Suiza Design & Innovation Centre', a dedicated space within the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Montmeló, Barcelona. This centre is the permanent headquarters for Hispano Suiza's track operations and is a premier gathering place for customers, partners, and collaborators. Here, luxury and peak performance merge to deliver an unparalleled experience.
The Hispano Suiza Design & Innovation Centre marks the first time a manufacturer has permanently occupied a pit box at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. This initiative aims to engage customers in the creation process of their vehicles and offer them the utmost comfort on a high-performance track. The newly created space combines two pit boxes, split into an operational area for mechanics and engineers to work on the hypercar and a client area where guests can learn about the Hispano Suiza brand.
Positioned on the left side of the box, the car is surrounded by elegant panels featuring screens that display the company’s motto, 'The pleasure of belonging to the unique.' In this area, technicians prepare the Hispano Suiza for track activity and complete the vehicle's validation process before customer delivery.
On the other hand, guests can observe the hypercar manufacturing process, relax, or explore the history of Hispano Suiza through a photographic exhibition while monitoring the vehicle.
Track testing is crucial in developing the Carmen, Carmen Boulogne, and Carmen Sagrera hypercars. It provides a safe environment to maximise their over 1,000 hp and test new components. This critical phase is overseen by Luis Pérez-Sala, a former Formula 1 driver and Brand Ambassador whose insights help adapt racing technology for road use.
Sergio Martínez Campos, CEO of Hispano Suiza, emphasised the significance of this new permanent facility: “The opening of this box at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a landmark in our recent history and underscores our philosophy of 'From Race to Road', bringing racing technology to our hypercars. It allows our customers to be intimately involved in their vehicle's development, reinforcing our position as a leader in technology, sportiness, and luxury.”
Juan Fernández, Technical Director of Hispano Suiza, highlighted: “Regular testing at the Circuit is essential for the proper development and validation of our hypercar components. By establishing a permanent base here, we enhance our capabilities in vehicle validation and offer our customers a unique insight into the creation of their hypercar.”
Ignasi Armengol, General Manager of Fira Circuit, added, “We are delighted to permanently host Hispano Suiza, a brand that not only originated in Barcelona but also shares our values of competitiveness, innovation, and history. This partnership strengthens our mutual commitment to growth and excellence.”
Located just minutes from the Hispano Suiza Atelier, where customers personalise their dream car, the new Hispano Suiza Design & Innovation Centre lets them witness their hypercar's birth on the track shortly thereafter.
