Enhanced AC Cobra GT Range Unveiled as AC Cars Teams Up with T-engineering
AC Cars is set to expand its production capabilities through a new strategic partnership with T-engineering. The company is actively investing in the AC Cobra GT sports car range.
This partnership marks the next phase in a continuous investment programme and development, offering AC Cars—Britain's oldest vehicle manufacturer—increased capacity for contemporary and classic vehicles.
This initiative, operating from the renowned Trollhättan facility in Sweden, will enable AC Cars to satisfy the growing demand for its AC Cobra GT Roadster and GT Coupe. The collaboration enhances production facilities and specific engineering functions, supporting further advancements across its vehicle range.
T-engineering, striving to lead in Scandinavia for control systems and electrification, operates as a world-class development centre for automotive technologies. Based in Sweden, the facility is well-prepared for developing and comprehensively testing vehicles and systems, significantly boosting AC Cars' production and development capabilities.
The agreement provides AC Cars access to T-engineering's team, engine laboratories, assembly areas, and the T Legacy Track, a prominent test facility in Trollhättan offering extensive calibration and validation services.
The addition of the Trollhättan site complements AC Cars’ existing production site on the UK’s south coast and its engineering division in Germany, further enhancing the production of the company’s state-of-the-art sports cars.
David Conza, CEO of AC Cars, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: “It’s an honour to partner with T-engineering. This relationship grants us access to a world-class team and facilities, significantly enhancing the production of the AC Cobra GT range and supporting ongoing vehicle development.”
Klas Lundgren, CEO of T-engineering, shared his excitement: “We are thrilled to collaborate with AC Cars and honoured to support the development of their exciting new cars, providing future manufacturing solutions. We perfectly complement AC Cars and believe this is a fantastic commercial opportunity for the future.”
Peter Eriksson, Mayor of Trollhättan, also discussed the strategic partnership: “We’re delighted to welcome AC Cars to Trollhättan. The collaboration with T-engineering is a milestone, confirming Trollhättan as a prime location for the automotive industry and future manufacturing companies. We are committed to supporting their establishment in the Stallbacka Industrial Area.”
