Radical Motorsport Celebrates 3,000th Race Car Production on 28th Anniversary

Radical Motorsport, the acclaimed British race car manufacturer, celebrates its 28th anniversary by announcing the production of its 3,000th race car. This significant achievement highlights Radical's enduring commitment and passion for motorsport, which has propelled the company forward for nearly three decades.

The milestone 3,000th car, a remarkable model of Radical’s iconic SR3, emerged from the production line at the company’s Peterborough headquarters, primed for delivery to longstanding Radical customer and Radical Cup UK racer John Hewitt. Celebrating this milestone, the car boasts a bespoke one-off chassis, powder-coated in bronze, complemented by bronze wheels and decals that pay homage to Radical’s illustrious racing heritage.

Established in 1997, Radical Motorsport has transformed the motorsport industry by making high-performance racing accessible to enthusiasts and professionals. With a presence in over 20 countries and a robust network of more than 30 dealers, Radical supports 14 global single-make Radical Cup championships, making it a synonym for adrenaline-fuelled performance and excellent value.

Despite challenges in the UK automotive sector, Radical has maintained sustained profitability and growth domestically and internationally. While the broader industry contends with declining production volumes and economic uncertainty, Radical has successfully navigated these challenges by focusing on niche markets, enhancing customer engagement, and expanding its global motorsport programmes.

"Reaching the 3,000th car milestone is a testament to the dedication and talent of our team," said Dan Redpath, Chief Commercial Officer of Radical Motorsport. "It’s a proud moment for Radical and our supportive community of customers and fans. Our continued success demonstrates that we can flourish even in tough times by concentrating on our strengths—delivering top-class race cars and exceptional customer experiences."

This landmark vehicle, destined for a UK customer, underscores Radical’s strong domestic connections and commitment to the local racing community. January 28th marks exactly 28 years since the company's inception. It coincides with the debut of Radical's first model, the 1100 Clubsport, at Brands Hatch in April 1997. Just two years later, Radical had enough customers to fill an entire racing grid, thus establishing the vibrant Radical racing scene known today.
