Electric MOKE Showcases Heritage and Innovation at Paris Motor Show

MOKE International is set to make a vibrant comeback at this year’s Paris Motor Show, showcasing its rich heritage and adventurous essence that has captivated the market for over six decades. The British-built Electric MOKE will dazzle attendees at stand A92 in pavilion 5/3, presenting extensive customisation opportunities via MOKE’s official French partner, Suncar SAS (Suncar). In response to the soaring demand across Europe and to kick off the 60th-anniversary celebrations of MOKE, the brand will release 60 build slots exclusively for show attendees.

This event represents a crucial milestone in the growth of MOKE International. Since 1964, MOKEs have symbolised freedom, fun, and distinctive design, famously featured in James Bond films and beloved by music legends. The Electric MOKE extends this legacy as the ideal vehicle for beach outings or city adventures, now powered by an electric engine. With a waiting list of three to nine months, depending on the destination, the Electric MOKE is rapidly gaining traction in new markets and reinforcing its iconic status.

Chief Commercial Officer of MOKE International, Robin Kennedy, commented, “France has always been integral to the MOKE narrative. From the bustling streets of Paris to the sun-drenched Riviera, famously captured by Brigitte Bardot, the MOKE spirit has thrived here. Our collaboration with Suncar enables us to enhance the persona’ personalisation of Electric MOKEs, marking an exhilarating phase as we embark on the next chapter.”

“There’s much to anticipate over the coming year. We enrich what our customers adore about the brand, crafting something exceptional for those who cherish individuality and timeless elegance. We’re launching our ‘60 years of MOKE’ celebration at the Paris Motor Show to spotlight the brand’s enduring legacy and success. We plan to extend these celebrations across all our key markets in the next 12 months.”

As the demand for customised luxury electric vehicles increases, MOKE International is amplifying its focus on personalisation through partners like Suncar. Customers can select from six colours or tailor their MOKE with options such as colour coding and custom accessories, allowing them to reflect their style. This partnership highlights MOKE International’s dedication to delivering exhilarating, open-air driving experiences while staying true to its core values of fun, freedom, and innovation.

In 2022, MOKE International, which owns the original 1964 European MOKE trademark, became the first heritage automotive brand to transition fully to electric, marrying its playful design with sustainable technology. Built-in the UK, with most components sourced from Europe, the brand upholds its legacy while adopting modern automotive technologies and safeguarding over 100 trademarks worldwide.

MOKE International’s global expansion is progressing, with the Electric MOKE now accessible in six countries, including the USA. In 2023, the first customer cars reached Florida following NHTSA and EPA approvals. A unique partnership with Four Seasons in South Florida has further enhanced the brand’s global footprint.

Press attending the Paris Motor Show can schedule interviews with Robin Kennedy, Chief Commercial Officer, on Monday, 10th October.
