Electrogenic Showcases Revolutionary EV Conversion Kits at SEMA 2024
Electrogenic, a leader in electric vehicle (EV) technology, has selected SEMA to unveil its comprehensive range of EV products, reinforcing its position at the forefront of the sector. The Oxford, UK-based company is presenting its sophisticated ‘drop-in’ EV conversion kits, proprietary integration technology and a Vehicle Control Unit (VCU). Their exhibit also includes specialist electronics for body control and driver interfaces.
The British firm makes its entire catalogue of proprietary EV powertrain technology available directly to B2B customers for the first time. Electrogenic has built a reputation for providing fully formed EV powertrain solutions to international EV conversion partners, low-volume car manufacturers, and the Defence sector.
Steve Drummond, CEO of Electrogenic, commented, "Over the past couple of years, we've observed a significant increase in demand for EV technology in the USA, spurred by innovative efforts from numerous EV companies. This has inspired us to offer our proprietary systems integration software and electronics as individual components to US automotive specialists for the first time."
During SEMA, Electrogenic showcased a Jaguar E-type (XK-E) Roadster converted to an electric drive using their 'drop-in' kit technology. This plug-and-play package, installed by InoKinetic of California, one of Electrogenic’s expert North American installers, enhanced this British icon's usability, reliability, and performance.
The Jaguar will be displayed along with other technological innovations from Tuesday, November 5, to Friday, November 8, at Electrogenic’s stand 24816 in the SEMA Future Tech Studio.
The kits, which are easy to install and fully reversible, use brand-new, Tier 1 automotive components to electrify iconic models such as the DeLorean DMC-12, Land Rover Defender, Porsche 911, and classic Mini. They are distributed worldwide through Electrogenic’s meticulously vetted installer network, which now includes numerous partners across the United States.
Electrogenic is also announcing the expansion of its North American partner network at SEMA, with the addition of Hesp Originals in British Columbia, marking its first venture into the Canadian market. Hesp Originals, a renowned Land Rover specialist, has been performing EV conversions for its clients for many years.
Electrogenic continues to excel in bespoke EV conversions, including the recent electrification of a 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom II for Hollywood actor Jason Momoa. The project was featured in Momoa’s series 'On The Roam' and was nominated for an Environmental Media Association (EMA) award.
Drummond added, “We’re delighted to present our full range of sector-leading EV powertrain technology at SEMA. The dynamic US EV market has encouraged us to make our comprehensive suite of technologies, including our transformative 'drop-in' kits and sophisticated control systems, available to B2B customers in the USA.”
“With our growing partner network across North America, including the new addition of Hesp Originals, we’re well-positioned further to enhance the availability of our leading EV technology. Our sophisticated kits promise to revolutionize usability, reliability, and performance and ensure these vehicles can be enjoyed for generations.”
