Experience Alpine's Electrifying Showcase at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Alpine storms back into the Goodwood Festival of Speed, flaunting an exhilarating array of vehicles that showcase its motorsport heritage across both road and track. The UK dynamic debut of the Alpine A290, the brand’s inaugural electric sports car, headlines this event.

The A290, which premiered at the recent 24 Hours of Le Mans, boasts 220 bhp and is fully electric. It will demonstrate its sporting prowess over the venue’s 1.16-mile hill as a highlight of the ‘First Glance’ display.

Visitors to the four-day festival will witness a real-world demonstration of Alpine's electrified future for its road models. Additionally, Alpine celebrates its rich legacy and future ambitions in racing through various iconic displays.

Notably, Alpine's presence in the 'Manufacturer Grid' includes the aerodynamically optimised, 500 bhp A110 Pikes Peak car and the Alpenglow concept, which merges a lightweight carbon body with innovative high-performance hydrogen-powered technology. Joining these is the 1975 A110 Group 4 Tour de Corse rally car in the 'First Glance' feature.

The motorsport theme extends with displays including the BWT Alpine F1 Team showcar, the 1970s twin-turbocharged V6 RS10 F1 car, and the radical, V6-powered A442B endurance racer. Alpine’s Academy drivers—Jack Doohan, Kush Maini, and Sophia Floersch—will drive the F1 showcar.

Motorsport enthusiasts can test their skills on the Alpine simulator, with the fastest visitor winning an Alpine experience at Thruxton. Alpine merchandise is also available for purchase.

Additionally, the A110 R Le Mans, limited to just 100 examples, will be showcased in the 'First Glance' feature, with the rest of the A110 range appearing in the manufacturer parade.

Alpine will also unveil its plans to elevate the exclusivity of the A110 through the upcoming Atelier Alpine programme. This initiative offers A110 customers a choice of 26 new body colours inspired by Alpine’s historical palette, paired with uniquely finished alloy wheels and brake calipers.

Nic Burnside, MD of Alpine Cars UK, remarked, “Alpine always ignites excitement at Goodwood, but this year promises to be exceptionally memorable. With astounding competition cars and the dynamic introduction of the electric A290, Alpine is set to become more accessible and versatile than ever, captivating a broader audience and marking a thrilling new chapter for Alpine production models.”
