Experience the Thrill: TWR Unleashes the Supercat, a Supercharged V12 Super-GT Revolutionising Luxury Sports Cars

Fergus Walkinshaw, Director and Founder of TWR, proudly announces the launch of the Supercat, TWR's inaugural product, marking a milestone in automotive design and engineering.

After two years of meticulous development, the Supercat emerges as a reimagined Jaguar XJS, now a contemporary Super-GT. Its name aptly reflects its audacious and dynamic capabilities. As TWR opens its order books, enthusiasts are eager to experience this potent, dynamic, and visceral British icon, now wholly transformed to forge an intimate connection between drivers and their vehicles, both on the track and on the road.

The TWR Supercat, a limited-edition masterpiece, boasts a supercharged V12 engine, producing over 600 BHP. Born from the legendary Jaguar XJS platform, the Supercat heralds the dawn of TWR's new generation of performance cars, underpinned by a rich motorsport heritage, including notable triumphs at Spa and Bathurst. This exclusive model is strictly limited to 88 units, a nod to TWR's 1988 Le Mans victory with the Jaguar XJR-9.

TWR's commitment to bold design and an engaging driving experience underscores this project. The car showcases the company's motorsport DNA, incorporating a manual transmission, lightweight materials, and an extensive testing and development program, promising a connected and thrilling driving experience.

The Supercat draws inspiration from TWR's historic racing and performance cars, including the XJR-9, XJR-15, and XJ220. Today, TWR invites clients to secure their build slot with a £10,000 refundable deposit. Production is capped to ensure exclusivity. Pricing starts at £225,000, offering extensive customisation options to meet individual preferences.

Fergus Walkinshaw, son of TWR founder Tom Walkinshaw, leads the engineering team and collaborates with top talents from McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, and other elite brands. The Supercat's development showcases rigorous aerodynamic testing and dynamic evaluations, ensuring peak performance under the most demanding conditions.

Khyzyl Saleem, the lead designer, and Magnus Walker, the design consultant, have infused the Supercat with a modern aesthetic that respects its Jaguar heritage while setting a new standard in design and functionality. This approach creates a distinct, recognisable silhouette that melds Super-GT form with racing functionality.

As TWR gears up for the Supercat's dynamic debut in Summer 2024, this Super-GT promises to redefine luxury sports cars, blending timeless design with cutting-edge performance.
