Ferrari Unveils 2025 Livery for the 499P in the FIA World Endurance Championship
Ferrari has launched the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship season by revealing the new livery for the 499Ps racing under the Ferrari—AF Corse team. Cars 50 and 51, the Le Mans Hypercars, continue to celebrate the legacy and success of the Maranello brand while introducing style elements derived from the legendary 312 PB.
In 2025, the driver teams remain consistent, with Ferrari contending for the Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ World Championship titles and defending their Le Mans title. Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen will drive car number 50, while Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi will handle car number 51. The 499P will keep the same technical setup as the previous season. The championship begins on 28 February in Qatar.
The 2025 model of the 499P features distinctive design updates that ensure it is instantly recognisable. The iconic Ferrari red dominates the design, highlighted by Giallo Modena, a colour combination familiar from consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Scheduled for its race debut in Qatar on 28 February, the 499P honours Ferrari's recent past while celebrating the 312 PB, Maranello's last Sport Prototype, until Ferrari rejoined the top class of endurance racing in 2023.
The 2025 499P, embracing Ferrari's innovative spirit, showcases a modernised livery that merges a darker red with Giallo Modena, enhancing the car's aerodynamic lines.
The livery includes a glossy red finish for heightened visibility during night races, paired with matte accents in line with the Scuderia Ferrari HP’s Formula 1 design. The cockpit features the signature yellow diagonal stripe, now extended across the side pods, enhancing the car's dynamic appearance from every angle.
At the World Championship’s first round in Qatar, the 499P will race with the technical configuration introduced in São Paulo, Brazil, during the 2024 season. This setup includes a redesigned brake cooling duct and new aerodynamic tweaks.
The team spent the winter optimising the car’s technical package through testing and simulator sessions, focusing on enhancing reliability and fine-tuning performance.
The 499P is powered by a hybrid system that combines a mid-rear-mounted twin-turbo V6 engine with an electric unit on the front axle. This design also influences Ferrari's latest supercar, the F80.
Ferrari—AF Corse retains its strong driver line-up from previous seasons. The team aims to build on its successes and compete for the World Championship titles, potentially earning Ferrari’s first endurance racing world championship since 1972.
The season's schedule includes races worldwide, from the Lusail International Circuit's Prologue and Qatar 1812 km race to other prestigious circuits in Italy, Belgium, France, Brazil, the USA, Japan, and Bahrain.
Drivers Fuoco, Molina, Nielsen, Pier Guidi, Calado, and Giovinazzi are optimistic about their chances in 2025. They will focus on consistent performance and strategic enhancements to contend vigorously for the Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ titles.
