Explore the A110 R Ultime: Alpine’s Pinnacle of Sports Car Mastery

The A110 R Ultime is the pinnacle of Alpine's sports car design. It is crafted in a limited series of just 110 examples. Manufactured at the historic Jean Rédélé Alpine plant in Dieppe, it is an ultra-sports car that pushes emotional and performance boundaries.

Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.8 seconds, the A110 R Ultime outpaces its sibling, the A110 R, by approximately 20 seconds per lap at the Nordschleife (Nürburgring, Germany). With a formidable output of 345 bhp, it excels in performance and boasts an impressive power-to-weight ratio.

Initially, the A110 R Ultime project was undertaken by a small, dedicated team of Alpine engineers resembling a commando unit. Later, they incorporated leading motorsports experts to infuse the vehicle with unmatched power, aerodynamics, and ultra-personalisation expertise.

Alpine introduces an ultra-personalisation programme for the first time, offering customers an almost limitless array of combinations to craft a distinctively personal Alpine. The programme features 28 body colours and collaborates with Poltrona Frau®, a top leather specialist, providing 14 shades of Alcantara® upholstery and 10 leather options.

Following the success of the new A110 in 2018, Alpine engineers embarked on developing the ultimate road-going iteration of this iconic model. Born in the Alpine engineering department and initially intended as a prototype, the A110 R Ultime quickly surpassed its initial scope due to the overwhelming drive to create a uniquely captivating vehicle for ultimate performance aficionados. This model centres around two core themes: outstanding sporting performance and exclusive allure.

The team aimed to enhance performance without merely increasing horsepower by relying on Alpine's hallmark lightweight and aerodynamic expertise and leveraging insights from Formula 1 development. Their eight-year experience in the GT4 racing series also played a crucial role.

The A110 R Ultime is a testament to unique sporting prowess and marks a significant step in Alpine's personalisation process. Through the Atelier Sur-Mesure or bespoke workshop programme, customers now have a genuine co-creation experience.

This vehicle is assembled in Dieppe, the heart of Alpine. It offers unparalleled performance, refinement, and distinctive styling. This model benchmarks future designs, including the anticipated electric A110 in late 2026.

"The A110 R Ultime captures the essence of our vision at Alpine, prioritising dynamic driving pleasure. This latest model distinguishes itself from competitors by delivering an unmatched driving experience," said Alpine's CEO Philippe Krief.

Alpine's engineers and test driver Laurent Hurgon adopted a racing team approach to address the challenge of improving an already accomplished sports car within homologation limits. They focused on agility and cornering speeds, revamping the engine, chassis, brakes, and aerodynamics. The vehicle features a new DCT6 gearbox, optimised aluminium chassis, redesigned suspension with Ohlins® TTX dampers, and new lightweight wheels. Improved braking systems and bespoke Michelin PS CUP 2 tyres complement the extensive aerodynamic enhancements, including increased downforce and enhanced cooling.

The engine, which produces up to 345 bhp, benefits from new forged pistons, connecting rods, and an optimised turbocharger. This setup enables the A110 R Ultime to deliver a torque of 420 Nm, significantly boosting its performance on tracks like the Nordschleife.

"Drawing from my extensive experience racing the A110 in the GT4 series, we've transferred these refinements into the A110 R Ultime," explained Laurent Hurgon, Alpine test driver.

The A110 R Ultime also offers a richly personalised experience, similar to high-end fashion and jewellery brands, through collaborations with Sabelt® and Poltrona Frau®. This enables a wide range of customisable options for exterior and interior aesthetics.

To mark Alpine's iconic colour, 30 110 A110 R Ultime cars feature the 'La Bleue' livery: the exterior features a unique blue gradient, and the interior features exclusive black and blue leather.

"The A110 R Ultime isn't just a car; it's akin to haute fashion. At the Atelier Sur-Mesure, we closely collaborate with each customer to create their perfect car," said Stéphanie Petit, Chief Designer of Colour & Material at Alpine.

As Alpine's most extreme and exclusive road car, the A110 R Ultime symbolises the brand's ambition to reach new heights of performance and refinement. It sets a new benchmark for future innovations and the evolution of French sports cars.

"Already a monumental success among enthusiasts, the A110 R Ultime is a testament to Alpine's commitment to innovation and excellence. We have only a few allocations left," stated Jean-Pascal Dauce, Vehicle Leader at Alpine A110 R Ultime.
