Jean Todt Honoured in FIVA Heritage Hall of Fame at 2025 Rétromobile Show

Jean Todt, the former FIA President renowned for his influential role in motorsport, was officially inducted into the prestigious FIVA Heritage Hall of Fame during the 2025 Rétromobile Show in Paris. The Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) bestowed this honour to recognise individuals who have significantly impacted automotive history. The Fédération Française des Véhicules d'Époque (FFVE), FIVA's national representative in France, successfully nominated Todt, and the international jury wholeheartedly accepted the nomination.

Todt's legacy in motorsport remains unparalleled. During his tenure as FIA President from 2009 to 2021, he introduced key changes to motorsports that enhanced safety, promoted sustainability, and supported the inclusion of female talents in racing. His initiatives improved road safety, saved countless lives, and advanced environmental sustainability by founding Formula E, transforming the electric vehicle landscape. Moreover, his support for female racers led to the establishment of the 'Women in Motorsport Commission,' chaired by Michèle Mouton, which has opened up more opportunities for women in the sport.

“Jean Todt's contributions to motorsport management are truly remarkable,” said FIVA President Tiddo Bresters. “He steered Scuderia Ferrari to dominate Formula One, achieving 13 driver and manufacturer world championship titles. His earlier leadership at Peugeot Talbot Sport brought multiple World Rally Championship victories, triumphs at the Paris-Dakar Rally, and victories at the Le Mans 24 Hours.”

The FIVA Heritage Hall of Fame celebrates individuals whose influence transcends national automotive heritage. Todt joins a select group of past inductees, including Giorgetto Giugiaro, Walter Röhrl, and Soichiro Honda, who have all significantly impacted the automotive industry. His induction is a fitting tribute to a legend whose impact on global motoring will resonate for generations.
