GMA Honours 60 Years of Gordon Murray’s Groundbreaking Design at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA), the driver-centric premium supercar manufacturer, will celebrate 60 years of Professor Gordon Murray CBE’s pioneering design and engineering as the Central Feature Marque at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

GMA will mark this milestone with a striking sculpture on the lawn outside Goodwood House, showcasing six decades of innovative design that continue to shape the brand. Since 1965, Professor Gordon Murray has consistently produced vehicles that embody driving perfection, engineering artistry, and cutting-edge lightweight design—all traits exemplified in GMA’s modern supercars.

Professor Gordon Murray, Group Executive Chairman: “For 60 years, I have embraced the challenge of pushing design and engineering boundaries—whether for racing or road cars. Gordon Murray Automotive’s supercars draw on every vehicle I’ve designed, raced, and owned. We integrate lightweight design, pioneering materials, advanced technologies, and even physics-defying principles into everything we do.”

During the Festival of Speed, GMA’s contemporary supercars will join an array of Murray-designed road and race cars spanning 1965 to 2025. As the Central Feature Marque, GMA will also showcase its entire lineup of supercars in front of Goodwood House, in the Supercar Paddock, and display heritage models on the Goodwood Cricket Pitch. The celebrations will culminate in the launch of a brand-new GMA supercar.

Phillip Lee, Gordon Murray Group CEO: “The GMA team is extremely proud of our heritage and the extensive legacy of road and race cars that continue to influence our design philosophy and technological approach. Gordon’s illustrious career and unique engineering perspective inform every aspect of our work, shaping the quality, prestige, and commitment to driving perfection seen in all our current and future supercars.”
