HORSE Celebrates 7.5 Million Engine Milestone with Job Expansion at OYAK HORSE Plant in Bursa

HORSE, a key division of Horse Powertrain, today marks a significant achievement, celebrating the production of 7.5 million engines at its OYAK HORSE facility in Bursa, Türkiye. This milestone reflects the company's leadership in innovative and eco-friendly powertrain systems.

In conjunction with this achievement, OYAK HORSE has added approximately 100 new positions, increasing its workforce by 10%. These roles are pivotal in supporting the introduction of a third daily shift at the plant, which aims to boost the current production capacity of over 1,500 engines per day—a 38% increase observed between 2023 and 2024. This expansion caters to the growing demand for hybrid engines.

Gökhan Deniz, General Manager at OYAK HORSE Türkiye, expressed his gratitude, stating, "This milestone mirrors our team's commitment and relentless effort across 54 years. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all our colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers who have played a part in our journey. The milestone engine, the 7.5 millionth produced, is the HR16 Gen3 hybrid engine. This four-cylinder, 1.6-litre gasoline engine is designed for hybrid vehicles, offering optimal efficiency and performance. The motor delivers a maximum power of 69kW at 5,600rpm. It adheres to the EURO 6D FULL emissions standards, underscoring the company's commitment to reducing emissions and meeting the rigorous demands of both EU and global markets.
