INEOS Grenadier 4X4 Launches in China, Setting New Standards for Premium Off-Road Vehicles

Breaking new ground in one of the world's pivotal automotive markets, the INEOS Grenadier 4X4 has debuted in China, riding a wave of international acclaim and numerous accolades from the US and Europe.

The arrival of the Grenadier marks a significant milestone following INEOS Automotive's successful expansion into over 40 countries globally, including Mexico, just last week. It establishes a new standard for premium 4X4s within the Chinese market.

"In the past 18 months, the Grenadier has received an exceptionally favourable reception in every market we have entered. We are delighted to introduce it to China now," states Lynn Calder, CEO of INEOS Automotive. "Amid a market teeming with innovative local EVs and autonomous vehicles, we offer something distinctly striking against the current trend. We've invested considerable time in planning this launch and have collaborated with a formidable local team to ensure we start strongly. China holds tremendous potential to become one of our leading sales markets, and I view this as an exhilarating development."

Initially, the Grenadier will be available at four retail locations. Shops in Beijing and Chengdu already serve customers, with additional locations in Shanghai and Guangzhou set to open in the coming four weeks. In addition to offering a complete brand and retail experience, these locations will provide extensive and dependable aftersales support.

INEOS Automotive has spent two years planning the Grenadier's introduction in China. This included setting up a national sales company and assembling a team that collaborates with robust local retail partners, laying solid foundations before sales commence. The commitment of substantial commercial and technical resources marks a significant investment in the long-term strategy for the INEOS Grenadier in China.

The first wave of customer deliveries is set to commence before the end of October, and prices will start at 808,000 CNY.

Having established formidable businesses in other key regions – including the UK, North America, South Africa, Australia, and Europe – INEOS Automotive’s new subsidiary in China marks its first venture into Asia, signifying a noteworthy expansion of its global sales network.
