Introducing the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1: Unmatched Performance Under $1 Million
Chevrolet has revealed the 2025 Corvette ZR1 as the fastest, most powerful, and quickest production car. It boasts a top speed of 233 mph and an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, setting it apart from any other production car available for under $1 million. This announcement arrives at the Detroit Auto Show, where Chevrolet and fellow General Motors brands such as Cadillac, GMC, and Buick are poised to exhibit their latest advancements.
From mid-February, Chevrolet will begin taking orders for the 2025 Corvette ZR1. The starting price, including delivery fees, is $174,995 for the 1LZ coupe and $184,995 for the 1LZ hardtop convertible. The vehicle is available in two configurations: 1LZ and 3LZ. Each has a hand-assembled 1,064-hp twin-turbo V8 engine, a visible carbon-fibre roof, carbon-ceramic brakes, a Performance Data Recorder, and carbon-fibre enhancements such as ground effects and side intakes.
Scott Bell, Vice President of Global Chevrolet, commented, "The ZR1 epitomises our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's achievable in performance engineering. Delivering a vehicle that dramatically surpasses its price regarding world-class capabilities remains a crucial priority."
For enthusiasts seeking advanced aerodynamics, the ZR1 Carbon Fibre Aero Package, priced at an additional $8,495, replaces the standard package. It introduces a high-downforce rear wing, front dive planes, and a tall hood spoiler alongside underbody strakes to boost downforce. Moreover, the ZTK Performance Package, available for $1,500, requires the Carbon Fibre Aero Package and enriches the ultimate track performance with upgraded seating and sophisticated vision and audio systems.
In a market comparison, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 surpasses its competitors, such as the 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the 2022 McLaren 765LT, in terms of horsepower, torque, and top speed while maintaining a considerably more accessible starting price. Production is scheduled to begin in the second quarter at the Bowling Green Assembly, and Chevrolet advises prospective buyers to contact their preferred Corvette dealer for ordering information.
