McLaren marks 30 years of Ayrton Senna's racing prowess and charismatic legacy with a vibrant tribute showcasing his Formula 1 World Championships and five Monaco Grand Prix victories. The tribute includes a bespoke livery on the MCL38 Formula 1 car driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix.
Alongside the Formula 1 homage, McLaren Automotive proudly unveils the Senna Sempre livery on a pre-production McLaren Senna from their heritage collection. This hand-painted masterpiece, created with the Ayrton Senna Institute, highlights McLaren’s exceptional paintwork through McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The livery celebrates Senna's relentless pursuit of perfection, Brazilian heritage, and illustrious McLaren racing history with dynamic colours and unique interior designs.

Introduced in December 2017, the McLaren Senna is the most extreme McLaren road car, engineered for unmatched track-oriented performance. The Senna Sempre livery transforms a pre-production McLaren Senna, elevating its visual appeal while honouring the legendary racer’s philosophy and achievements, notably his six wins at the Monaco Grand Prix.
The Senna Sempre livery incorporates the colours of the Brazilian flag with a new paint wash technique by MSO that simulates the motion and speed of a waving flag. It also features intricate tributes, such as the 'Double S' logo, directly inspired by details on the bespoke MCL38 car, and Ayrton Senna’s race helmet design influences throughout the car's design.
McLaren’s tribute to Ayrton Senna extends to the race track, where the McLaren Formula 1 Team showcases a one-off livery on the MCL38 car, replacing the standard colours with a design inspired by Senna’s helmet. This unique livery will be displayed throughout the extended Grand Prix weekend in Monaco, honouring a legacy that continues to inspire and captivate fans worldwide.
