Explore the Fully Restored Maserati 3500GT at Rétromobile 2025

An exemplary Maserati 3500GT, meticulously restored by the renowned coachbuilder Touring Superleggera with assistance from Maserati Classiche, will be showcased at Rétromobile 2025. This restoration initiative has received full certification from the Maserati Classiche department at the House of the Trident, affirming the car's authenticity and historical precision.

The Maserati 3500GT showcased at the French event is a distinguished 1959 model initially destined for the California market. It boasts a remarkable heritage, having belonged to the Dodge family for several decades. This car has been expertly restored as a homage to the Italian spirit, featuring all original functional components and maintaining its proven historical continuity for unique and authentic identification.

Touring Superleggera's workshop has beautifully restored this iconic grand tourer to its original glory, with comprehensive technical and documentary support from Maserati Classiche. The Restoration Assistance Service meticulously inspected and validated every component, including the chassis, engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, wheels, and tyres. The car's bodywork, interior and exterior finishes, materials, electrical system, and accessories were thoroughly examined and authenticated.

This exceptional craftsmanship and value embedded in Touring Superleggera's restoration services were duly recognised, culminating in the Maserati 3500GT receiving the Certification of Authenticity from Maserati Classiche after more than 300 technical verifications against historical archives to confirm its conformity with original designs.

Maserati Classiche's programme is dedicated to preserving and promoting the brand's automotive heritage through exclusive services for collectors and customers. This includes a Certification of Authenticity for Maserati cars over 20 years old, special series vehicles, and even recent limited editions like the MC12 or the Quattroporte. The programme also offers car servicing and “on-demand” Car Detailing and assists in preserving and restoring cars to their original specifications.

A dedicated service plan supports Classic, Youngtimer, and Special car owners in various maintenance and restoration operations. Maserati Classiche also produces unavailable replacement parts, adhering strictly to original designs and using today's best technologies to enhance part reliability and functionality without altering appearances.

The Maserati 3500GT, notable for being the first road car produced on a large scale by Maserati, features elegant aluminium bodywork crafted with Superleggera technology by Carrozzeria Touring. Its low, smooth body, simple front end, chrome bumper, and lightweight define the quintessence of Italian-style grand touring. Initially derived from the 1956 350S race car, the six-cylinder engine underwent significant enhancements, including a shift to Lucas fuel injection in 1961, increasing power to 235 CV.

As Rétromobile 2025 unfolds, the Touring Superleggera stand proudly displays the Maserati 3500GT (Stand K-068, Pavilion 1) alongside three prestigious models at the Maserati Schumacher Paris dealer's stand (Stand B062, Pavilion 2): the MC12 Corsa Blu Victory, the new GT2 Stradale, and the exclusive MC20 Cielo Blu Victory.
