Nova Motorsport Takes Over Camac: Accelerating Growth and Innovation in the Racing Industry

Nova Motorsport, a dynamic newcomer in the global motorsport arena, is set to transform the landscape of premium competition and specialised tyres. The company has finalised the acquisition of Camac, Portugal's esteemed national tyre manufacturer.

This strategic move follows Nova Motorsport's recent procurement of assets, including the brand license for producing and marketing an extensive array of motorsport tyres branded as 'Avon Motorsport' and 'Avon Racing'. The integration of Camac marks a significant expansion of Nova Motorsport's capabilities and market presence within the specialised motorsport tyre industry. This solidifies its exclusive position as the primary global supplier for most Avon Motorsport and Avon Racing products.

Situated in Palmeira, Portugal, Camac boasts an impressive annual production capacity exceeding 500,000 tyres. With a longstanding reputation as a significant player in the specialised tyre market, particularly in motorsports, this acquisition propels Nova Motorsport further towards becoming a dominant force dedicated to crafting high-performance motorsports and specialised tyres.

Strategically located within the European Union, Camac's manufacturing facility is ideally positioned to cater to Nova Motorsport's clientele across Europe and beyond and ensures efficient and timely delivery of our high-performance tyres.

James Weekley, Nova Motorsport's Commercial Director, emphasised, "The acquisition of Camac marks a pivotal milestone in executing Nova Motorsport's global business strategy. It strengthens our position as a leading independent tyre manufacturer in motorsports and specialised industries and expedites the revitalisation of the Avon Motorsport product line."

Mike Lynch, Nova Motorsport's Chief Technical Officer, added, "In addition to serving existing markets, we're uniquely positioned to collaborate with businesses seeking customised tyres for specialised applications, providing unmatched levels of rapid R&D, time-to-market, and customer support."

The acquisition of Camac significantly reinforces Nova Motorsport's mission to revolutionise motorsport tyre production. With expanded production capacity and an augmented technical team, the brand is poised to introduce groundbreaking advancements in tyre performance and customer service to the global motorsport community.

In a strong show of commitment to the motorsport community, Nova Motorsport has entered into three substantial multi-year partnerships. These include being the official tyre supplier for the European-wide RallyX championship, supplying tyres for four prestigious Peter Auto historic racing series in Europe, and serving as the title sponsor and primary tyre supplier for the British Hillclimb Championship.
