Porsche Unveils 2025 Taycan and Panamera Upgrades with More Range, Technology, and Value
Porsche continues to redefine electric performance and luxury with key updates across the Taycan and Panamera ranges for the 2025 model year. These upgrades bolster customer value, enhance digital functionality, and further solidify Porsche’s reputation for state-of-the-art engineering.
For 2025, the Taycan and Taycan 4S are now standard with the Performance Battery Plus, increasing gross battery capacity from 89 kWh to 105 kWh. This upgrade delivers approximately 50 additional miles of WLTP range, bringing the total to 421 miles (678 km). These models can be ordered now and will arrive at Porsche Centres across the UK and Ireland this summer.
The Taycan now features 19-inch Taycan S Aero wheels as standard. Customers can also opt for a leather-free interior made of Pepita or Race-Tex material. The updated specification provides up to £8,000 in added customer value on these models.
Further across the Taycan range, standard features include Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Change Assist. GTS and Turbo variants now have standard rear-axle steering and Power Steering Plus. The Offroad Design Package is also now included on the Cross Turismo. These enhancements represent an average customer value increase of £3,600.
Introduced last year, the latest-generation Taycan brought higher performance, extended range, faster charging, and improved stability. Porsche’s designers have also refined the visual identity, notably on Turbo models, giving each version a distinct character. These new upgrades build on an already high baseline of equipment.
Powered by cutting-edge 800-volt architecture and electric motors with hairpin windings, the Taycan supports rapid DC charging at up to 320 kW. For example, the Taycan 4S delivers a maximum Overboost power of 440 kW (598 PS) with Launch Control.
The updated Taycan is available now, with prices starting from £88,200 RRP (incl. VAT).
Significant specification enhancements also benefit the Panamera range. All variants now include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Change Assist, and a Bose® surround sound system.
Additional features include rear-seat side airbags, soft-close doors, a Surround View within Park Assist, and a heated steering wheel. Turbo models now feature noise-insulating glass, contributing to a quieter, more refined driving experience.
Depending on the model, these upgrades deliver up to £6,000 in added customer value. The 2025 Panamera now sells for £89,400 RRP (incl. VAT).
Starting with the 2025 model year, Porsche has introduced a significant infotainment upgrade across the 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne. The latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system features improved hardware for faster responsiveness and expanded functionality.
Drivers can now access a wide range of third-party apps natively within the PCM, thanks to the Porsche App Centre, which is modelled after familiar app stores. This allows seamless use of popular music, video, podcasts, navigation, weather, and even gaming apps directly in the car.
Depending on the market, available apps include smart home controls, karaoke, and real-time POI (Points of Interest) exploration – ideal for electric vehicle drivers seeking charging points and scenic routes.
For the first time, Amazon Alexa® is integrated alongside Porsche’s own Voice Pilot, offering voice-controlled access to tasks such as checking the weather, managing shopping lists, playing music, or controlling home devices – all activated via the voice command “Alexa” or custom PCM shortcut.
Premium and high-end audio systems by Bose® and Burmester® now include Dolby Atmos support, delivering a truly immersive, spatial sound experience inside the cabin. Tracks are positioned around the listener with unparalleled depth and precision, transforming the car into a concert hall or theatre.
Dolby Atmos-compatible apps are accessible via the Porsche App Centre, and many top music artists have already released their catalogues in the format. This allows customers to experience Porsche’s next-level sound design fully.
