Revolution Race Cars Secures New Investment, Expands US Operations
Revolution Race Cars, a leading UK-based automotive manufacturer, announced significant new investment and an expanded presence in the US through collaboration with long-standing customers and the founders of Classic Car Club International in Manhattan, New York.
The newly established American entity, Cabotage Corporation, spearheaded by Classic Car Club Inc.'s Zac Moseley, Phil Abbott, and Nigel Redwood from Revolution Race Cars, along with Revolution patrons Marc Russell and Channel Islands entrepreneur Terry Thompson, has acquired all issued shares of Abbott Automotive Limited, known as Revolution Race Cars.
This acquisition heralds a new chapter in Revolution's journey, expediting the introduction of innovative models to its range of consumer-oriented prototype race cars. These cars are designed to cater to novice racers and world champions and supply motorsport circuits and racing schools with highly competitive and durable vehicles.
Committed to democratising Le Mans Prototype technology, Revolution Race Cars continues to make high-performance, safe, and affordable sports cars equipped with carbon tubs and cutting-edge features accessible worldwide.
With this refreshed investment and leadership, the company is set for an exciting international expansion and innovation period, aiming to transform the motorsport landscape. Zac Moseley will take over as Chairman, with Nigel Redwood stepping in full-time as Managing Director, leveraging his extensive international experience. James Abbott will maintain his Head of Product Development role, collaborating closely with the new Operations Director, Phil Abbott. This restructuring allows the Abbott family to focus entirely on crafting top-level prototype race cars, with Nigel Redwood driving the commercial strategy.
Furthermore, Zac Moseley, Jessica Moseley, and Marc Russell will join the Revolution board as Directors, infusing the team with their valuable insights.
Zac Moseley and Marc Russell have deep connections with the Revolution factory. Zac leads Classic Car Club Racing in New York, and Marc is a pioneering Revolution owner in the USA. This strategic development ensures the Abbott family continues to innovate within the race car construction arena. Revolution's ongoing mission is to make advanced technology and top safety standards more accessible in motorsports, broadening its reach and influence.
With over 25 years of commercial and motorsport experience, Nigel Redwood joined Revolution full-time as Managing Director after initially consulting and shaping the sales and marketing strategy. His full-time engagement underscores his commitment to Revolution's vision.
Phil Abbott, a renowned British Racing Drivers' Club member and a motorsport legend, co-founded Revolution to push boundaries further with innovative carbon fibre safety cell race cars after a successful career with Radical and engineering roles at Rolls Royce and Jaguar.

Revolution Race Cars also extends gratitude to outgoing Directors and investors Marcel Aebi, Michel Frey, Jean Gandar, and Romain Rousseaux for their foundational support.
With the new investments and strategic leadership, Revolution Race Cars is primed for a dynamic phase of growth and pioneering innovation in the global motorsport scene.
Phil Abbott expressed his excitement about the evolution and future potential, saying, "Today, James and I, as co-founders, are thrilled to witness the evolution of our next phase. I'm honoured to be part of this journey, excited by the deepening partnership with Classic Car Club Inc., and eager to lead our team toward greater success. As an ex-race driver, I continue the theme of 'built by racers for racers.”

We aim to offer racers a genuine prototype race car experience that is affordable, reliable, safe, and capable of top podium finishes.”
