Experience Electric Thrills: Pre-Order the New Volkswagen ID.3 GTX Performance

Unleash electrifying pace and power with the all-new Volkswagen ID.3 GTX Performance, hitting the UK market on 29 August. Retailing at £46,225, including VAT, this electric marvel is ready to order through any Volkswagen UK Retailer.

The latest addition to the ID.3 series, the GTX Performance model, enhances style and speed, building on the success of the Pro and Pro S variants. It boasts an 84 kWh gross (79 kWh net) battery, churning out 326 PS and 545 Nm of torque, propelling the rear-wheel drive from zero to 62 mph in a mere 5.7 seconds. Sports suspension, progressive steering, and Volkswagen’s DCC adaptive chassis control system ensure dynamic handling and stable road performance.

Despite its power, the GTX Performance does not compromise on practicality, offering up to 369 miles of range per WLTP combined cycle. It charges 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes at rapid DC stations and supports up to 11 kW AC charging at home.

Unique features such as the GTX-specific front bumper with a new black diamond-style air intake and redesigned daytime running lights make this model stand out. It also sports high-gloss black body accents, 20-inch Skagen black alloy wheels, and a sporty rear diffuser.

The GTX theme continues with premium ergoActive sports seats in fabric and leatherette, red decorative stitching, a multi-function steering wheel, and a GTX-specific cockpit surface. Standard enhancements include metallic paint, a Harman Kardon sound system, and an augmented-reality head-up display, elevating the driving experience.

Kai Grünitz of Volkswagen’s Board of Management highlighted the ID.3 GTX Performance as the electric analogue to the iconic Golf GTI Clubsport, emphasising its exhilarating acceleration and the joy of driving. This model promises driving pleasure as Volkswagen transitions its GT tradition to electric mobility.

The ID.3 GTX Performance, priced at £46,225, will launch on Thursday, 29 August. It is a new cornerstone in Volkswagen’s electric fleet, blending tradition with innovation in the electric vehicle space.
