Unleashing Power: Ferrari 296 Challenge's Dynamic UK Debut Sets New Standards at Snetterton Race Circuit

The Ferrari 296 Challenge recently thrilled audiences with its dynamic UK debut at the Snetterton race circuit during the third round of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli UK. Drivers from the current Ferrari Challenge UK and Club Challenge eagerly tested this new model, tailored specifically for the one-make series, in preparation for its competitive entry next season.

Excitement surged as drivers took the first-ever V6 Ferrari Challenge car onto the track, lauding the remarkable performance boost from the new V6 engine, which delivers up to 700 CV. This powerhouse, based on the award-winning 2.9L V6 from the 296 GTB, omits the hybrid system found in the road car, contributing to the race car's 140kg lighter weight.

Participants also celebrated the car's enhanced aerodynamics, noting the new aero package that produces 870kg of downforce at 250 km/h when the spoiler is fully adjusted—an 18% increase compared to the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo.

Furthermore, the Ferrari 296 Challenge sets a new standard in braking technology with the pioneering use of CCM-R PLUS for the brake discs. This cutting-edge solution, inspired by the highest levels of motorsport, including Formula 1, surpasses the performance of traditional carbon-ceramic racing brakes, setting a new benchmark in the racing world.
