Unveil Aston Martin Valhalla: The Future of Luxury Hybrid Supercars

Aston Martin reveals the full details of its groundbreaking mid-engined hybrid supercar, Valhalla. This supercar combines Formula 1® technology with breathtaking aesthetics and thrilling driving dynamics. Now in the latter stages of development, it represents a new era in luxury performance.

Valhalla introduces several firsts for Aston Martin: it is the brand's inaugural series production mid-engined supercar and the first to feature plug-in hybrid technology, boasting dedicated EV range capabilities. This supercar is powered by a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 engine—Aston Martin's most powerful V8. It also debuts the brand’s innovative 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with integrated e-Motor and electronic differential.

The design of Valhalla reflects a radical new language. It features high-downforce active aerodynamics for extreme performance. Collaboration with Aston Martin Performance Technologies—the consultancy arm of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1® Team—has enhanced its dynamics, aerodynamics, and materials, pushing the boundaries of supercar engineering.

Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark remarks on the transformation the Valhalla signifies for the brand, blending iconic luxury with top-tier F1®-inspired technology to challenge the world’s leading sports car brands. Valhalla promises hypercar-level performance and offers the practicality and enjoyment expected of any Aston Martin, making it a unique and compelling market proposition.

Valhalla has evolved significantly from its initial concept. Its powertrain delivers 1079PS and 1100Nm of torque. Its advanced aerodynamics generate over 600kg of downforce, achievable at speeds up to 350km/h, thanks to active systems that adjust the aerodynamics across a broad range of speeds to maintain balance and enhance confidence at the wheel.

The car’s sophisticated Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control optimizes performance by managing its suspension, brakes, steering, aerodynamics, and powertrain. Valhalla offers four selectable driving modes: Sport, Pure EV, Sport+, and Race. Each mode provides a unique driving experience and integrates various vehicle systems for tailored performance.

Valhalla’s braking system, featuring Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB), is fine-tuned for exceptional performance on the track and the road. It ensures optimal control and responsiveness under high-speed conditions.

Simon Newton, Director of Vehicle Performance at Aston Martin, highlights the engineering challenge of integrating the immense power of Valhalla’s hybrid powertrain with its advanced aerodynamics and dynamic control systems, setting new benchmarks for speed, precision, and exhilaration.

This supercar is a testament to Aston Martin’s commitment to innovation, blending performance with luxury in an unprecedented way and making Valhalla a pinnacle of contemporary supercar design. With its bespoke carbon fibre structure and sophisticated torque vectoring, Valhalla is crafted to excel in both aesthetics and performance, offering an unrivalled driving experience.
