Unveiling the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed: Celebrate 'The Winning Formula' with Legends of Motorsport

As the New Year approaches and Goodwood's motorsport events return, we are thrilled to unveil the 2025 Festival of Speed theme, sponsored by Mastercard: 'The Winning Formula - Champions and Challengers'.

This theme sets the stage for the cars, bikes, drivers, and riders converging at the world's premier motorsport and car culture celebration in July. Annually, the Festival of Speed's theme offers fans a glimpse of what to expect at the event.

The 2025 theme, 'The Winning Formula—Champions and Challengers,'’ celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship, which began in 1950. Formula 1's enduring commitment to excellence has influenced all racing disciplines, pioneered innovation and ambition and redefined speed, technology, and design standards.

The Festival of Speed will highlight the sport’s pursuit of 'The Winning Formula', combining past, present, and future F1 in the biggest celebration of the series to date. Fans can anticipate encounters with legendary cars, drivers, teams, designers, and figures from the apex of motorsport. We will release more details about these festivities in January.

Additionally, 'The Winning Formula' draws inspiration from 125 years of motorsport competition and innovation, marked by anniversaries such as the Gordon Bennett Cup and the Thousand Mile Trial, as well as the centenary of the World Manufacturers' Championship, famously won by Alfa Romeo with the revolutionary P2.

The Festival of Speed uniquely welcomes competitors from every significant global motorsport championship, including the World Endurance Championship, World Rally Championship, Formula E, IndyCar, NASCAR, Dakar, MotoGP, and World Superbikes. These participants will join in celebrating 'The Winning Formula'.

The Duke of Richmond, founder of the Festival of Speed, commented, “The Festival is ideally positioned to reflect on themotorsport'sch history and heritage of am delighted that in 2025 we will do so through 'The Winning Formula'. This theme epitomises the spirit of striving for excellence, a mindset ever-present in Formula 1, which will celebrate the 75th anniversary of its World Championship next year. Following our recent celebration of 75 years of motorsport at Goodwood, we recognise the significance of this milestone for Formula 1 and look forward to honouring it.”

Karun Chandhok, a friend of the Festival, added, “Goodwood's team excels at assembling an incredible array of cars, bikes, drivers, riders, and teams. I eagerly anticipate the lineup for 'The Winning Formula' and hope to have the chance to drive something special!”

Stay tuned for more updates on the Festival of Speed in the upcoming months.
