Introducing the BMW M3 CS Touring: The Ultimate Blend of Speed and Utility

BMW M GmbH introduces the first-ever BMW M3 CS Touring, a special-edition addition to its lineup of high-performance vehicles. This new model enhances the BMW M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive by boosting its thrilling performance and unparalleled practicality.

The BMW M3 CS Touring offers increased engine power, custom chassis tuning, and reduced weight thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP). It provides the ideal mix for an exhilarating drive with a fuel consumption of 26.9 mpg and CO2 emissions of 240 g/km (WLTP cycle).

Equipped with a six-cylinder in-line engine that produces a robust 550 hp, coupled with an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive, the M3 CS Touring accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 186 mph.

Starting at £120,600 RRP, this high-performance model will be produced at the BMW Group Plant in Munich. BMW anticipates its first deliveries in the UK by March 2025.

The vehicle features a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine with a rigid crankcase and closed-deck construction. A forged lightweight crankshaft and a 3D-printed core in the cylinder head enhance its performance. The advanced cooling system and oil supply are optimised for track driving.

BMW’s upgraded M TwinTurbo technology ensures a smooth power increase, reaching a peak torque of 650 Nm early at 2,750 rpm and maintaining it up to 5,950 rpm, with full power output at 6,250 rpm and a redline at 7,200 rpm.

The BMW M3 CS Touring includes a bespoke M-specific exhaust system with electrically controlled flaps and a lightweight titanium rear silencer, enhancing its acoustic profile, especially in SPORT and SPORT+ modes.

The car features an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. Drivers can select from three shift modes tailored for comfort, sports performance, or track driving. Power is delivered smoothly via the M xDrive system, which directs most power to the rear in 4WD Sport mode or entirely to the rear wheels in 2WD mode, with deactivated Dynamic Stability Control.

The model-specific chassis tuning, adaptive M suspension dampers, and M Servotronic steering are all fine-tuned to handle the rigours of track use. M Compound brakes ensure formidable stopping power, and there are options for M Carbon ceramic brakes and a choice of Red or matt Gold callipers.

The BMW M3 CS Touring delivers outstanding performance and features intelligent lightweight construction using CFRP for significant weight reduction. Inside, M Carbon bucket seats, CFRP trim, and a customisable M-specific digital interface enhance the driver's experience, combining luxury with performance.

This special edition comes in four striking colours, including BMW Individual options, and features numerous exposed carbon fibre components. The front-end design is marked by a minimalistic BMW M kidney grille, surrounded by a red contour and flanked by yellow LED icon headlights, evoking a strong motorsport heritage.

In summary, the BMW M3 CS Touring marries high-performance engineering with comprehensive functionality, setting new standards for sports touring vehicles.
