WAE Unveils Hydrogen Marvel: EVRh
WAE Technologies Unveils the Marvel of Hydrogen: EVRh Shines at CENEX LCV Show (Booth C3-606)
In a grand unveiling that sent shockwaves through the automotive realm, WAE Technologies (WAE) has given the world its magnum opus of innovation, a dazzling jewel of a hydrogen-powered dream machine, christened EVRh. Like a radiant phoenix rising from the crucible of advanced engineering, this ultra-high-performance hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle platform is a symphony of power and elegance, destined to leave an indelible mark on the annals of automotive history. With the stage set at the prestigious CENEX Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV) Show, EVRh stands as a beacon of hope, a testament to humanity's unyielding pursuit of sustainable transportation.
Nurtured in the hallowed halls of WAE in Oxfordshire, EVRh emerges as a technological masterpiece, resulting from an immaculate union between WAE's profound expertise in vehicle and powertrain engineering and a cutting-edge H2 fuel cell system. Within its sleek contours lies the promise of a greener tomorrow. EVRh offers its fortunate riders the ethereal experience of zero tailpipe emissions driving, like a breath of pure, unpolluted air in a world thirsting for ecological rejuvenation.
Exactly one year has passed since EVRh's electric sibling, EVR, first graced the world's stage. However, EVRh is a revelation of a different calibre, harnessing the elemental forces of hydrogen and oxygen in a mesmerising dance within its fuel cell stack. Collaborating with visionary partners for the H2 fuel cell system and guided by WAE's unmatched systems integration and electrification wizardry, EVRh is a parallel-hybrid progeny of the illustrious EVR rolling chassis concept.
Its frame, a marvel of lightweight composite architecture, cradles a high-performance H2 fuel tank and battery system at its heart, harmoniously optimising the centre of gravity. The canvas of EVRh's design is vast and flexible, allowing manufacturers to craft an array of configurations, from track-only speed demons where power-to-weight reigns supreme to open-roof Targa and fixed-roof GT marvels for the open road. This versatility, born from an ingenious central tub, seamlessly accommodates varied designs, including the compelling open-roof concept, all while embracing state-of-the-art performance technologies like active aerodynamics.
The beating heart of EVRh lies in its liquid-cooled FCEV battery pack, a technological marvel capable of unleashing 430kW of raw power. When coupled with the 120kW hydrogen fuel cell, EVRh produces a thunderous 550kW total output. Such potency bestows upon it the ability to rocket from 0 to 100km/h in less than 2.5 seconds, with an estimated Nürburgring lap time of under 7 minutes and 20 seconds, an automotive feat that will etch itself into the annals of speed legendry. Whether all-wheel or rear-wheel drive, EVRh caters to every driving preference with its array of e-motor configurations.
But EVRh isn't just a marvel of engineering; it's a boon to manufacturers, offering an express lane to market realisation. With WAE handling the entire engineering and assembly process, development time and cost are slashed, paving the way for swifter market launches. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers find a cornucopia of opportunities to enhance the powertrain, thanks to EVRh's adaptable rolling chassis, which can be continually improved with WAE's latest motor and battery technologies.
Paul McNamara, the maestro of WAE Technologies, Technical Director extraordinaire, speaks with reverence: "Since our inception in 2010, WAE has been a guardian of cutting-edge innovation, weaving transformative technologies into the tapestry of various industries. EVRh, now unveiled for the first time at CENEX LCV, stands as a radiant testament to WAE's prowess in forging solutions for a world yearning for zero-carbon vehicles. We herald the dawn of state-of-the-art FCEV vehicles, rapidly and cost-effectively."
As WAE sets its sights on an expansive future, it invites the visionary souls who wish to join their global family, united in the noble quest for a zero-emissions tomorrow. WAE beckons in this grand symposium of sustainability, offering a chance to be part of history and contribute to realising a brighter, greener world.
