Zenvo Automotive Accelerates Development of Aurora Hypercars for 2025

Zenvo Automotive is ramping its development programme for the revolutionary Aurora hypercars, preparing for a dynamic 2025. Demonstrating its commitment to innovation, Zenvo has significantly expanded its engineering team, which is now dedicated to advancing the Agil and Tur derivatives. Key project milestones are now in place, including the anticipated prototype debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Under the leadership of Jon Gunner, Chief Technical Officer, Zenvo has broadened its engineering expertise, welcoming key figures such as Jorge Uhalte-Nogués, the new Homologation Director with prior experience at Bentley and McLaren, and Javier Castane as Chief Engineer, formerly of Aston Martin and JLR. This expansion includes opening a new engineering office in Sweden and propelling the Aurora project alongside ongoing activities at the main factory in Præstø, Denmark. Significant progress in component design, powertrain, and overall vehicle packaging, enhanced by advanced crash testing and aerodynamics simulations, has refined the final designs of both models.

“The Aurora project is gathering momentum, and we continue to attract outstanding talent essential for the in-house development of key systems,” Jon Gunner explains. “This team expansion, across two sites with our new Swedish office, underscores our commitment to the programme and brand, significantly enhancing the outcomes as we maximise the Agil and Tur's potential. The 2025 calendar is packed with important milestones, posing challenges, but we are focused on exceeding expectations at every stage.”

Christian Brandt, Chief Designer, remarks, “As the Aurora project advances, we are fine-tuning the final aesthetics of the Agil and Tur models to optimise performance without compromising our original visionary design. Our dedication ensures the Aurora models will offer the ultimate experience for drivers, combining iconic Danish design with cutting-edge technology.”

The teams are diligently preparing for a busy 2025, starting with the inaugural activation of the bespoke Mjølner V12 powerplant, developed in collaboration with MAHLE Powertrain. This 6.6-litre quad-turbocharged engine, set to be the most powerful and technologically advanced V12 ever constructed, marks a significant step towards enhancing driver engagement. Following this milestone, the powertrain will undergo extensive real-world testing, leading to the dynamic debut of the prototype vehicle at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Additionally, the project will continue its global showcase, including reappearances in the United States, across Europe and the UK, and at Monterey Car Week.

Jens Sverdrup, Chairman and Chief Commercial Officer, states, “It's been a transformative year for Zenvo. We've significantly expanded and laid a solid foundation for the business and the Aurora project. As 2025 approaches, we are poised to maintain this momentum. We are driven by our commitment to realising our ambitious goals from the start, in collaboration with our top-tier in-house talent and esteemed technical and commercial partners.”
