Gordon Murray Group (GMG) Unveils New Division: Gordon Murray Special Vehicles
Gordon Murray Group proudly announces the establishment of Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV). This new business division has been launched in response to the global demand for unique and niche vehicle designs. The initiative follows the successful introduction and delivery of the T.50 supercar, significantly raising the brand's profile through stellar media reviews and high-profile international promotions.
The GMSV division, boasting a dedicated structure and engineering team, aims to address these unique customer requirements now and in the future.
GMSV will produce vehicles in three exclusive categories:
Bespoke: One-off or ultra-low-volume cars, custom-made to meet specific customer design and technical specifications. These are commissioned through close collaboration with the GMSV team and constructed on a newly developed platform.
Heritage: This category includes revivals of Gordon Murray’s classic cars, which are offered as pure continuation models or reimagined to modern specifications.
Special Vehicles are low-volume, limited-edition models designed and manufactured by GMSV. These vehicles, not part of the existing GMA product range, celebrate the rich and successful history of the brand and demonstrate its leading global expertise.
Professor Gordon Murray, CBE, Executive Chairman of Gordon Murray Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture: "Over the years, we've seen an increasing demand for bespoke and special edition models. We're ideally positioned to meet these demands with our expanded capabilities, including dedicated engineering, design, and manufacturing teams at our global headquarters and technology campus in Highams Park, Windlesham."
Phillip Lee, CEO of Gordon Murray Group, further highlighted the strategic timing of the GMSV launch, which follows a period of substantial global expansion for the company. "After delivering the T.50 supercar across Europe, the Middle East, and Japan, and with the upcoming US deliveries, we're excited to begin production on the T.50s Niki Lauda track car and the T.33 coupe. Establishing the GMSV division marks a pivotal development, enabling us to commence production of ultra-low volume specials and a Special Vehicles programme this year."
With a fully independent team now operational, GMSV is poised to embark on its first bespoke commissions and collaborations, reinforcing Gordon Murray Group's commitment to innovation and excellence in the automotive industry.
