Discover the All-New BMW 1 Series: Sportier Design, Enhanced Technology, and Eco-Friendly Features

The BMW 1 Series, renowned for its unmatched driving pleasure in the premium compact segment, now enters its fourth generation. With a dynamic new design, revamped drive options, and enhanced chassis technology, the new BMW 1 Series solidifies its position as the sportiest vehicle in its class. Equipped with efficient engines, including 48-volt mild hybrid technology, and a sustainable production process, the new model boosts eco-friendliness throughout its lifecycle. Its progressive nature shines through a redesigned interior, automated driving and parking systems, the new BMW iDrive with QuickSelect, and innovative digital services based on BMW Operating System 9.

Marking a new chapter in its 20-year success story, the new BMW 1 Series will continue production at BMW Group Plant Leipzig, with the first UK deliveries in October 2024. Starting at £29,950 (RRP), the new BMW 1 Series is now available for order at BMW retailers across the UK.

The fourth-generation BMW 1 Series boasts a sporty look with classic BMW proportions: a long bonnet, a set-back passenger cell, a flowing roofline, and a robust rear design. The five-door model's dimensions have increased slightly, with an overall length of 4,361 millimetres, a wheelbase of 2,670 millimetres, a width of 1,800 millimetres, and a height of 1,459 millimetres.

The new BMW 1 Series emphasises its sporty character with a lower, flatter front end. The wide, forward-leaning BMW radiator grille features vertical and diagonal bars. Standard LED headlights include striking vertical elements for daytime running lights and turn indicators. In contrast, adaptive LED headlights with glare-free matrix high beams, cornering light functions, and blue accents are optional.

The side view showcases a dynamic wedge shape and flat window graphics that taper towards the rear. The standard BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line includes a graphic element with the number 1 in the Hofmeister kink counter-swing on the C-pillar. An extended roof spoiler, side air deflectors, vertical reflectors, and a black diffuser-style insert enhance the powerful rear appearance. The two-part rear lights extend well into the side sections.

The new BMW 1 Series offers a variety of paint options, including two solid finishes, seven metallic finishes, four BMW Individual paint finishes, and a range of BMW Individual special paint finishes. For the first time, an optional contrasting roof paint finish in high-gloss black further emphasises the car's sporty look.

UK customers can opt for the M Sport model, featuring large air intakes on the front apron, pronounced side skirts, and a three-dimensional diffuser element in the rear apron. The top-of-the-line BMW M135i xDrive, with a 300 hp four-cylinder engine and an Adaptive M Chassis, accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds. Recognisable by its M radiator grille, M exterior mirror caps, and four exhaust tailpipes, the M135i xDrive also offers an exclusive M Technology Package from Autumn 2024.

Inside, the new BMW 1 Series features a completely redesigned, leather-free interior in Sport trim, offering a modern, premium ambience with sporty accents and ample space for up to five occupants. The newly designed Sport seats provide comfort on long journeys, with covers and upholstery made from recycled polyester. Heated seats are standard, with options for lumbar support, massage function, and electric memory function.

High-quality surfaces, a redesigned gear selector, and the BMW Curved Display enhance the interior's progressive and premium feel. The digital display system includes a 10.25-inch Information Display and a 10.7-inch Control Display, offering new functionality like digital air conditioning control. An M leather steering wheel with shift paddles is standard on M Sport models.

The new BMW 1 Series features engines from BMW's latest modular generation, including a three-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW 120, delivering 170 hp and a 0 to 62 mph acceleration in 7.8 seconds. The 120 and M135i xDrive have a standard 7-speed Steptronic transmission with dual clutch.

The increased rigidity of the body structure and chassis connection improves agility, steering precision, and cornering dynamics. The new BMW 1 Series includes advanced chassis technology, optimised kinematics, highly preloaded anti-roll bar mounts, and new shock absorber technology.

The new BMW 1 Series offers various automated driving and parking systems. Standard features include a Driving Assistant, a Parking Assistant with a Reversing Assistant, and advanced options like Steering and Lane Control Assist. The Tech Plus Package comprises a BMW Live Cockpit Professional with a BMW Head-Up Display and Augmented View. At the same time, the Tech Package offers wireless charging, Comfort Access, logo projection, and adaptive LED headlights.

The latest BMW iDrive with QuickSelect provides intuitive control of vehicle functions. The new BMW Digital Premium subscription includes news, games, music streaming, and video streaming apps, with data usage covered for all services. Standard smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ ensures a seamless user experience.
