Discover the Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition: Celebrating 60 Years with James Bond
Aston Martin is delighted to unveil the DB12 Goldfinger Edition, crafted by the renowned bespoke personalisation service Q by Aston Martin. This launch celebrates 60 years of the legendary partnership with the James Bond film series.
This iconic collaboration began in 1964 with the release of "Goldfinger," where the Aston Martin DB5 first graced the cinema screens. The DB5 became one of the most recognisable cars globally and a pivotal part of Aston Martin’s prestigious ‘DB’ lineage. The new DB12 Goldfinger Edition now receives the celebrated 007 treatment.
To commemorate this significant anniversary, Aston Martin will release only 60 DB12 Goldfinger Editions globally, honouring a partnership that has lasted half its 111-year history.
While the original DB5 featured in Goldfinger came equipped with numerous gadgets for James Bond’s thrilling escapes, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition focuses on delivering a lavish driving experience with subtle nods to the film.
The car sports the iconic Silver Birch paintwork associated with the DB5, making an immediate impact. It features striking 21” multi-spoke wheels in a unique silver with a diamond treatment finish, enhanced by black brake callipers, bespoke gold side strakes, and an exclusive Aston Martin logo in silver with black enamel. A bright chrome ‘Q’ Fender badge confirms the unique enhancements bestowed upon this edition.
Internally, the leather Sports Plus seats echo the classic DB5 fluted style, adorned with a Prince of Wales check perforation pattern, reminiscent of a classic James Bond suit. This design extends to the door inserts and the headliner and is etched onto a unique treadplate. A polished sill plaque featuring the Goldfinger 60th anniversary logo enhances the car's exclusivity.
The interior is further enriched with 18k Gold-Plated accents on the drive mode rotary dial, roller controls, and gear selector, inspired by the golden tracking device from the film. The trim inlays incorporate gold metal fibres woven into the 2X2 Twill Gloss Carbon Fibre, adding ultra-luxury.
For Bond aficionados, an ‘eight of hearts’ is embroidered onto the driver’s sun visor, a subtle tribute to the playing card from the famous Miami pool scene in Goldfinger.
Each Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition includes various exclusive gifts, including a custom car cover, a luxury key presentation box, a Silver Birch Speedform model, and a piece of the iconic Furka Pass scene in 35mm film. These are presented in a Globe-Trotter attaché case designed to match the car. Owners will also receive a 2007 vintage Champagne Bollinger magnum with four bespoke 007 glasses, presented in a Globe-Trotter Air Cabin Case.
