Explore Iconic Collector Cars at Retromobile 2025 with Broad Arrow
Broad Arrow, part of Hagerty (NYSE: HGTY), is set to display an array of historically significant collector cars at Retromobile 2025. This prestigious event offers a unique chance for international collectors and enthusiasts to admire five outstanding vehicles, three of which are set to be the centre of attention at Broad Arrow’s first auction as the newly appointed official auction house for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in May 2025, in partnership with BMW AG. More spectacular cars are also available for immediate purchase through Broad Arrow Private Sales.
“It's a real honour to showcase these vehicles at Retromobile in Paris,” remarks Joe Twyman, VP of Sales for the EMEA Region at Broad Arrow. “Each car is highly collectable and marks a significant chapter in automotive history and design, deserving of a spot in any prestigious international collection. This is particularly true for the 1948 Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa, a cornerstone of the Ferrari marque’s heritage, set to debut at our inaugural Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Auction. The Porsche 911 TAG Turbo by Lanzante is also poised to draw significant interest. Over the past year, we've noted an increasing demand for these unique custom or reimagined cars. The TAG Turbo, one of only 11 ever produced, exemplifies this trend, and we are thrilled to offer a rare example for sale. We anticipate discussing all the cars on display with collectors and enthusiasts at Retromobile this week.”
In 2024, Broad Arrow experienced an impressive 75 per cent growth year-over-year, achieving $316 million in transactions across auctions, private sales, and financing. With its lineup of showcase events and auctions in 2025, Broad Arrow continues to provide discerning collectors the chance to acquire some of the most coveted collector cars globally. As one of the few major auction houses to offer private sales, auctions, and bespoke finance options, Broad Arrow’s team of esteemed experts is eager to explore purchasing and selling opportunities with the international assembly of collectors and enthusiasts at Retromobile.
The cars Broad Arrow is proud to present at Retromobile include:
1948 Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa (Estimate: €5.500.000 - €7.500.000): The highlight of the display, the 1948 Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa, is set for its auction debut at Broad Arrow’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Auction on 24-25 May 2025. Chassis number 004 C is regarded as one of the most original early Ferrari examples that still exist. With coachwork by Carrozzeria Ansaloni and a rich history, including a sixth-place finish at the 1948 Targo Florio, this iconic Ferrari has been under 50-year family ownership from 1965 to 2015, boasting a well-documented provenance.
1988 Porsche 911 TAG Turbo (Asking Price: £2,200,000): The Porsche 911 TAG Turbo stands out in Porsche's storied history. Originally a one-off by Porsche’s R&D to develop an F1 engine for McLaren, this model was brought into limited production by Lanzante in 2018. With only eleven ever built, this car features a genuine F1 engine used by Alain Prost in 1987, carbon fibre bodywork, and striking Mint Green paintwork.
1930 Bentley Speed Six ‘Old No.3’ (Asking Price: Available Upon Request): Known as ‘Old No.3’, this Bentley Speed Six is one of only two built to compete at the 1930 Le Mans. It has been actively raced and maintained, continuing to captivate at concours events worldwide.
1949 Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport Coupe by Dubos Frères (Estimate: €1.200.000 - €1.500.000): The sole surviving model of just two created by the renowned Dubos Frères, this Talbot-Lago Grand Sport Coupe was once the fastest production car globally and boasts a grand prix win at the 1949 Concours d’Elegance du Bois de Boulogne.
1965 Ferrari 275 GTS (Estimate: €1.500.000 - €1.800.000): The 275 GTS by Pininfarina succeeded the legendary Ferrari 250 SWB California Spider. It features a powerful V12 engine and exemplifies the elegance of the 1960s Ferrari grand touring.
While the cars are undoubtedly the stars, Broad Arrow's Retromobile stand will also feature highly collectable memorabilia. From 21 April to 4 May, visitors can view Formula 1 driver helmets and other desirable items set for auction in Broad Arrow’s Spring 2025 Memorabilia Online Auction. Consignments and bidder registration are now open, and experts will be available to discuss these exciting opportunities with prospective buyers and sellers.
